So wonderful to hear you and Lulu together working on this beautiful piece. Your collective excitement is wonderful. I’m still working on my Treasure Hunt piece which is a slow stitch quilt using a blanket base that came out from Hungary with a family member after the war, complete with their hand stitched monogram on the corner. I love the stitch journal to keep for this project. The process of putting it all together with Lulu is so precious and she will always treasure the memories of this time in her life. The collection of fabrics is absolutely stunning and beautiful blending on the placement. So special, one of a kind quilt and opens up a whole new window of opportunity for all of us. WOW it is absolutely STUNNING Rachel and Lulu ❤❤❤ I have been collecting my hubby's old shirts to use in a quilt. They look so pretty in a quilt. I also want to stitch on some old crocheted doilies too. I think that could look pretty. I do it on my journal covers... I have to get some of your fabrics Rachel, I have yet to decide which ones, which isn't easy at all. Lulu is so lucky to get such a beautiful piece. Have fun stitching xxx

My mum makes patchwork bedblankets... takes a few years, because it's all stitched by hand. She backs them with cheap but good quality fleece blankets. It makes them really nice and warm...

I make my own duvet covers by using sheets that take my fancy. I could see using a sheet, sew on the 3 edges, I always just add large snaps for a closure. I place different thickness of duvets inside, just depends on the season. You also don’t need to put one in at all! I absolutely love the quilt and Lulu’s pillow cover. 🇨🇦

I absolutely love this project and started my own trial project yesterday. I am making a table runner using part of an old damask tablecloth as the backing. It is a bit difficult to stitch through but I love the weight and look when the Kantha stitching is added. I ordered some of your fabric recently and look forward to adding it to the next , larger project. Thanks again for the inspiration, both the quilt and cushion are lovely.

I also am really enthralled watching this series and will be starting one. Years ago I found the most beautiful flannels and bought enough to make a large queen blanket, but may save that for another quilt since that fabric will fray a lot. Trying to find some lovely fabrics like you have.
