Find me in the garage today abusing an old three drawer tool chest and converting it to be a pedestal for a milling machine. My weapons of choice are the Evolution S210CCS 210mm Heavy Duty Metal Cutting Circular Saw and the Evolution S28MAG 28mm Magnetic Drill
More:
Evolution S210CCS 210mm Heavy Duty Metal Cutting Circular Saw:
Revolutionise your metal cutting with the new S210CCS Heavy Duty Metal Cutting Circular Saw with Chip Collection. Evolution’s advanced TCT technology cuts faster, smoother, and more safely than abrasive discs, leaving a clean, cool to the touch, burr free finish that you can take straight to the welding table. When time is money the S210CCS is the perfect choice for faster, cleaner cuts in the widest variety of metals. Producing no waste abrasive dust and virtually no sparks the S210CCS is easy to live with in the workshop, with its high-capacity magnetic chip catcher it literally cleans up after itself.
If you need a handheld saw for cutting down large quantities of metal stock including steel and non-ferrous, bar, rod, tubing, and sheet the S210CCS is the obvious choice. Engineered for maximum performance, with a high torque, 1800w motor; it makes light work of cutting steel plate up to 13mm thick all day, every day. With intelligent thermal and electrical overload monitoring and forced-air motor cooling the S210CCS earns its Heavy Duty badge and will let you know if it ever needs to take a break.
Designed to run clean the S210CCS Metal Cutting Circular Saw picks up it’s own metal chips and cleverly stores them in the high-capacity onboard magnetic chip collector. (60% larger than the EVOSAW230 chip collector). The chip collector features a simple quick-release latch making metal waste disposal a breeze and allowing easy access to the blade for simple and quick blade swaps.
This saw has an adjustable depth of cut with an impressive maximum cutting capacity of 77mm! The quick-release adjustable depth lever enables fast and effective plunge cuts, ideal for metal roofing applications. With a large blade viewing window and bright LED work light casting an accurate blade shadow onto the cutting surface it’s easy to make long straight cuts even without a guide rail.
Evolution S28MAG 28mm Magnetic Drill:
Evolution’s S28 Portable Magnetic Drill is the perfect tool for tackling power-hungry metal fabrication cutting tasks on the job site and in the workshop. When you have to drill holes through sheet steel, heavy plate or I-beam and the only option is to bring the tool to the job then the S28MAG is the right tool every time.
Compact and easy to carry, the 450rpm, 1200 Watt motor inside the S28 provides enough power to make light work of any drilling task. 1200kg of magnetic clamping force secures the S28MAG in any position, on any job. With a small footprint, ambidextrous plunge handles and its own coolant source the S28 Magnetic Drill is ready to go straight out of the box.
If you’ve ever paid to hire a magnetic drill you already know what an essential fabrication tool it is. The Evolution S28MAG has power to put its rivals to shame and is priced so that it will have paid for itself after just a few jobs.
Our Cyclone Premium Annular Cutters are available in 25mm and 50mm depth of cuts and diameters from 12mm-28mm are suitable for this tool. These precision ground and hardened S360 Tungsten Molybdenum cutters boast exception cutting performance and durability and are heat treated to 68RC.

Having the right tools makes all the difference. The milling machines I used at Fareham tech as a apprentice in 1970 had a lever on the bed. Which, when turned through 70 degrees, held the work piece down magnetically. I always thought that it was a very strong permanent magnet as the machine didn't need to be powered for this to work. The milling machine bed had a striped appearance which might have been magnetically transparent material allowing the magnet to see the work piece. I seem to remember they were Elliot machines. Made in England.. Great video, fantastic workshop hoover. Regards Peter

Those magnet Chucks are really expensive. They are often used on surface grinders. Thanks for watching and the nice comments

Yes I decided to splash out and buy some new tools that I always wanted. Thought it was better spent by me rather than the tax man.

I was watching and wondering if I could do welding stuff and the answer is that stand would end up a parallelogram or trapezium on all sides. Love that mag drill, I have a few wooden beams that I need to drill a large hole through so that would come in useful. You really do have more tools than Mr Tool 'Tooly' McTool from Tooltown, Toolshire.
