I’ve got the Ninja Crispi and it works amazing. I believe the one you had, had a defect. Mine has never smoked and it cooks frozen fries in 12 mins on Max Crisp.

I have been using the Ninja foodie smart grill/air fryer for several years. It is excellent. Has the thermometer included so you can set the temp you want you meat to be cooked to. It opens like a clam shell so I find it easy to access my food. I also have cosori which I like, but the Ninja model I have is my go to air fryer and gets used daily.

I don’t have a regular air fryer but I have the Ninja Tendercrisp. We absolutely love it, I use it on a regular basis. It has so many features like air crisp, bake, sear/saute, slow cook, steam, pressure cook and I can even dehydrate. Thanks for showing all of these reviews

My ceramic coated Ninja air fryer has been great. I've had it for 5 years, and the coating is fine. When you have a pet bird like I do ceramic coating is a must.

Though it may seem so, a glass bowl air fryer is the first style developed. I have one I bought in the 90s with a giant glass bowl and a glass lid with the heat source. Having to remove and move the big lid is clunky and not nearly as convenient as pulling out a bucket or tray.

Deep frying is healthier than shallow frying and air frying. The benefit of the oil being able to keep a more stable temperature, helps seal and avoid an excess absorption of oil. You might think that when shallow frying or air frying you’re using less oil so it’s better, but the key is on how much oil is being absorbed by the food your cooking. I hate the misinformation on this topic.

I truly LOVED the idea of the double stack. I bought it, used it and I came up with the same conclusion you did. Not nearly powerful enough. I really wanted to have it work because I love the lack of real estate it used on my counter but if it doesn’t work, what’s the point ? So I ended up getting a side by side. If someone does a double stack THAT WORKS - I’ll buy it. I returned the double stack to Amazon and as I said, bought a Cosori side by side based on the idea that you like Cosori so much. I hope Cosori comes up with a double stack. I’ll buy it in a heart beat !

l find with my stove oven, if i just use the back side fan and element setting the food does not brown as quick as it does if l use the top fan grill element, the double stacker is just a fan oven without the grill function

I have 2 airfryers a Cosori 5.5 L and my favorite Instant - Vortex Slim Air Fryer Sort 5.7L 1700W use it every day, and when the day comes, where I have to get a new one, I want one with the windows. The instant are nice and quiet and I love that I can mute the sounds.

Ninja "glass" air fryer uses crisping trays on the inside. So it does use nonstick unless they've changed and removed the two crisping trays, one for each glass.

My friend has the side by side and I used it a few times at her house and it does take longer to cook... just like the double stack one did. The wattage is too low for that size of air fryer (just like the doublestack). I also don't care for the space in the drawers. I feel like they are deeper and have less horizontal space. I don't think I even addressed that?

We were gifted the Ninja dual zone, but I don't like it. As Cathy said there's too much horizontal space and it doesn't cook super evenly. I think we've had it about 2 years. If I had money to replace it, I definitely would!

I’ve been debating on which air fryer for maybe a couple years - my good friend bought a Cosori at least a year or so ago and she uses it almost every day and loves it! I still haven’t jumped yet, but since my stove and microwave decided to die 2 years ago I’d like,to try one. I. Lucky enough to have purchased a Breville Smart Oven quite a few years ago so I’m not completely dead but I’d like to have an air fryer for many of the items I want to eat but don’t want to wait for my Breville to cook - when I want fries, I want them now!!! (Or close to that!!😃). Love your super great information!

We have a Ninja AF101. Which we purchased refurbished. It has been serving us well since 2017. I was curious about the double stack model, but not anymore, the air flow physics from back to front don't make sense to me. Top down air flow or rather element on top and circulating makes more sense. The NinjaPro Xl model I might consider as a future purchase tho. I have 3 Ninja appliances including the AF101 and they all do their task well.

I have a Ninja Foodi 8-qt. 2-Basket Air Fryer and I do like it for the most part. I do use your cheat sheets for a cooking guide with one exception, I add 10 degrees to the cooking temp and cook it for the max time. For example your cheat sheet for pork chops says 380 for 10-15 min, so I cook them at 390 for 15 min and they come out perfect. Mine is 1690 watts and you have said yours was 1700 watts so is why I up the temp. Mine has the heating element on the top not on the back like the one you tested so it does cook evenly. For a single guy or a family of 2 or 3 it works great. What I like about it is being able to cook food at different temps and time and have them finish at the same time. What I don't like about it is the size of the baskets. The 4qt baskets are deep like the one you tested but are hard to find dishes that fit in them to use for some of your cookbook recipes. I did find a loaf pan that fits but that is about it and it fills the basket up so the air circulation is poor but you can make it work. If your cooking for more than 3 you have to split it up in both baskets. The presets are hard to use on it too. It has Broil, AirFry, Roast, and Bake and if you use them it changes the speed of the fan so it makes it hard to figure out how long to cook something so I just use the AirFry setting. If your trying to cook meals for a family I wouldn't recommend it because of the size. If your cooking for one or 2 or in a college dorm I would say yeah try it out.

Right off the bat, I got a mixture of recent and early clips. Beyond watching great recipes, I got a kick out of your taste testers. First one, then another, and more. Combine younger, then they mysteriously grew, then they just kept coming, more and more. Such a lovely crew, and as they grew, you surprisingly seemed to stand still in time. Finally, one video seemed to have the whole bunch in it. I won't swear to it, I didn't keep count. Yours is a great channel. Sign me up. These beginners' eyes are wide open! Cooking speed is determined by a combination of power going in to generate the heat, insulation to keep the heat in, and, in the case of an air fryer, keeping the hot air moving to get that convection cooking effect. You can achieve 400-450F with less than 1500 watts of power if you have enough insulation to prevent a lot of heat loss. My Gourmia air fryers only draw up to 1500W (although they only go up to 400F), perform spot on with the cook times in your recipes, and I can hear them cycling on and off during operation, so they're clearly maintaining the set temperature. They also don't get hot to the touch on the outside, so I know they aren't losing heat where they aren't supposed to. You did note that the Ninja Double Stack gets noticeably warm on the outside, which is probably a sign of insufficient insulation, resulting in too much heat loss to maintain the set temperature. I concur with your observation that having the fan in the back is causing uneven cooking. More accurately, heat loss through the top (because heat rises) is causing the back of the baskets, where the hot air is being blown in by the fan, to be significantly hotter than the front of the baskets. All in all, it seems to me that the design was rushed into production before all the wrinkles were ironed out, and from the cook times in Ninja's cookbook, I think they knew it. Thank heavens you're here to give these things some common sense, real world testing!

In the 6 and 1/2 quart ninja air fryer while cooking steaks and bacon, you should have used the upper rack for crispier and more char on the steak and the bacon. The bottom tray moves up to a second tier. Turning it 90°. Allows you to set it on those two ridges in the pan.

Thank you for these reviews!! I have a Ninja Foodi (airfryer /pressure cooker) and i like it for both functions. It gets used (airfryer) many times a day with my teens. However, the pot & fryer basket have gotten beyond able to be my standard of "clean" and im resorting to oven cleaner restoration, but it not cutting it. Ive been considering getting a different airfryer and just using the Foodi for pressure cooking (which it does great) What is your best recommendation for large capacity airfryer, that also has ease of cleaning?

I’m considering buying my first air fryer so I’ve watched a ton of reviews. I’m struck by how much some reviewers rely on the suggested cook time instead of just checking the food and pulling it out when it’s done. I’ve never set a timer on my oven, I just cook to my desired doneness and pull it out when it’s ready. If you overcooked the pork chops that’s on you because you didn’t check the temperature during the process. If the middle chop is cooking slower then rotate the chops during the cook. If I decide to buy an air fryer I’ll probably just set everything to cook for an hour and pull the food when it’s done to my liking. Just like an oven or grill or smoker.

I have one non-Ninja device which is the Dreo ChefMaker. I agree with your assessment of the Dreo. It is excellent! I also have the Ninja 8qt Dual and the 10qt Dual. I love the Dual. No issues with that model. I was definitely not interested in the Ninja Double Stack. Having the heating coming from the back and the open-air holes in the basket were the two main reasons. I would also bet your Crispi was defective.

I was wondering how you ran multiple machines without blowing a fuse! Right then it blew lol. I would never attempt to run 2 high wattage appliances on one circuit at once. When we redid our kitchen, we alternated the outlets so everything's not on one breaker. I'm still hesitant because some of my wiring is almost 50 yrs. old. Recently I've seen a KZbinr cooking a lot with the Ninja air fryer/grill (it has a lid that opens like an outdoor grill), but I don't have counterspace for something that big. It is intriguing, though. (I still love my Cosori II.)

I have the basic model Ninja (now selling online @ Walmart for $69) as most people do. My one and only piece of advice is…never cook anything above 350F . It may take a little longer, but just a couple of minutes could save you from burning the food.

The non stick coating on my Cosori model peeled off in chunks around the sides of the basket within two years. No, I did not use any aerosol spray oils to cook or any harsh chemicals when cleaning. Just Dawn dish soap and water. Cosori would not replace the basket, nor would they even let me purchase a replacement. The only option I had was to replace the entire machine. It was a total rip off.

I saw a German KZbinr a few weeks ago who tested the Ninja ‘double stack’ - also with various dishes, including french fries, but also with frozen pizza, chicken thighs, beans and muffins. Some of his dishes turned out unevenly, the pizza slices were black on top in some places, while others turned out fine. The french fries did not brown evenly either - despite shaking. The reviewer said that you probably have to ‘feel your way round’. In my Cosori Airfryer (I have the one with a viewing window in the basket), this worked much better right from the start... What I also found problematic: In his video, you could clearly see that oil or liquid leaked out through the side grill wall onto the tabletop when shaking/turning. Very unfavourable! The appliance may be interesting, especially for people with little space. In the practical test - in yours and in that of the German KZbinr - it was not convincing. By the way: In his test, the Airfryer *did* stop when he pulled out the baskets. Is that another technical fault with your airfryer? I was particularly interested in the glass airfryer - it's a shame that it didn't work properly.

That ninja you showed in the beginning. That's not the 4qt That's the 5 and 1/2 quart pro XL. I've owned 10 different Air fryers and that was the best one. It's one of the few that go up to 450° which is perfect for charring beef. The rack makes it great for charring steaks. I'm not sure why you would dog it, especially when it's not the 4 quart that you showed.

Omg!!! You are spot on my daughter in law has the ninja double drawer and it suck’s. When we go visit she only uses it for fries and tots and they are always under cooked. I told her and her son told her I cooked a whole chicken and chicken wings here in my cosori dual blaze in less time then her under cooked tots. And he said, you ain’t had good chicken wings till you have grandmas. He is gluten intolerant and first bite he said is this fried chicken I said yes, he then said can I eat it I said yes no gluten First time he had chicken wings he could eat really like it he had 14 wings… I am thankful I have your cookbook My mom and sister also have it.

I had a dual drawer, and it was fine. If you use both drawers at the same time, you do have to increase the cooking time a bit, but I never had the problems you described. I moved to a smaller place and didn't have room for it, so I bought a smaller Ninja. Works fine, too.

Cathy check out Freakin Reviews on the Ninja Crispi. He did a pretty good review. I think you got a defective unit. I do agree with you Ninja does have a lot of innovative products on the market but they do seem to fall short when it comes to Air Fryers. I had the cosori 6 qt. unit before upgrading to the Dreo ChefMaker, now that's an awesome unit. Love your videos, keep up the good work.

Aw I am sorry none of those worked out for you. Like I said last time, the ninja XL Grill is tops, also has a probe and six cooking functions, one of which is air frying (AG5551 UK) and it is wide enough for most families. I use mine regularly and aw well as my speedi. I have watched a few reviews of the double stack before and they had the same results as you did. Shame that you have probably spent a fortune on these. Hey, nice video. Thanks. A couple of questions please. Between a "Cosori Turbo Blaze 6L" and a "Ninja MAX PRO 6.2L" which one would you recommend and why? Above all, based on your experience, which one do you think is better, between the two mentioned, for yield and cooking of food... In particular for cooking "classic" French fries and for the hardest test, that is cooking a "whole chicken", considering that Cosori is the only one on the market to have a DC motor and I don't know if this aspect really constitutes an advantage compared to other air fryers or if Ninja has other better features. Can you help me on the best one to buy among those I indicated? Thanks!

No. If you look closely and pause the video, you can see that the times given for fries were under the heading ‘frozen food’ (in both cases).

These ones are rubbish iv got a ninja foodie max dual air fryer and my fries are dun in 12min max These 1nz dnt make sence my 1 cooks evry thing very fast these 1nz are rubbish lol 😂
