Pam, I have to say you’re giving me doily heart failure this morning. 😆 I wanted to grab that large cream (probably place mat) rectangle thingy out of your hand and hide it behind my back. I actually shouted, “no chop, Pam! No chop!”😆 It would make an entire cover base by itself. 😁 You are fearless. You go girl! 👍 Your vision, your scraps, your glue and scissors = beautiful cover. Love watching you work. 💕

Hello Pam and crew, just love your boldness , I have made more doilies than I can count and I have to admit that I had a moment when you cut the first one but then I thought about how many of them that I have thrown away because of a stain. I could have saved them for a project like this.I have crafted most of my life, sewing for over half of it and I have followed the rules, well let me tell you the rules are now out of the window now I am ready to be a rebel .thank you for sharing your passion and so much fun

My phone isn't letting me leave a comment so I hope you don't end up with several comments from me.. I can't remember all that I said 😏 but briefly...you could use your metal bobbins and wooden thread spools as spine dangles for a sewing theme journal. Love this project. Your inside fabric with doilies would make an awesome cover. TFS Regards to the menagerie and Papa too of course. Have a great day. 🌞

This is very inspiring, thank you. You probably already know this, but for fabric that doesn’t tear very well, there is a strategy of pulling a fabric thread along where you want the cut to be or where you would tear if the fabric would let you. - you can pull the thread all the way out and it will leave a little blank spot that you can follow with your scissors or if the breaks before you can pull it all the way through, it leaves a scrunched up line that continues in the same path that will let you follow the same straight line easily with your scissors.

Dear Pam, You are wonderful! ❤ I love watching your videos. I've only discovered you a few weeks ago, but you are pretty much the only person I watch for scrapbooking. To answer your question, Yes there is a right and wrong side in crochet. Sometimes it is hard to tell which is which and sometimes they both look really good. (Atleast to my eye) I love to crochet. Hope this gets to you a year after you have made your video, Pam. Unless someone else already answered your question. By the way, please don't ever make a silent video. Love your chatter❤

If someone asked me what my favourite tv show I'd, I'd Say the paper outpost. I fall asleep watching your videos every night I find them so inspiring and therapeutic, and u always make me laugh going off topic and losing track of everything or of what ur doing. I can relate to ur videos so much im the exact same way in the craft room. Thank you for all the inspiration and motivation/confidence to start my first junk journal that was once a dunkaroo box.

Allergies don’t need interfacing! Gesundheit! Thank you so much for this!!!!❤️❤️❤️. With a doily, it’s best to keep both sides looking like the right side. Crocheting makes that possible. With your lace fabric, because it’s machine made, there is a right side. You’ll be able to tell because one side is definitely more attractive. Just love you!💖💗💓💗💖 And FlufferPup!💘

You are crazy quilting! eBay is truly an EXCELLENT source for fabric because: those of us who quilt are known for accumulating so much fabric that we have to offer it online to make room for our families to live in the house. It is usually discounted and in many precut sizes like 2 1/2” , 5”, 10” squares. Same with embroidery thread, lace etcetera.

Speaking from experience, gray or light tan on top works with most colors. On bottom use any color. A long straight stitch could be used to baste your scraps in place. And a wide zigzag is best. You can also use iron on interfacing and place your fabrics as you please. Then cover with a larger piece and iron. Then flip over and iron the back of interfacing. The no glue is gumming up your machine.

Oh you must try even if you just get a simple straight & zig zag machine from Walmart or a second hand store that will take back electronics if they don't work. Or ask family or friends that you know sew if you can try their machine. Most of the time they are very willing to set it up and let you try it.

The other day we had a big thunderstorm and when it quit raining he needed to go out, it was hilarious, when I opened the door, he poked his head out and looked both ways just make sure it was safe to exit. The look on his face was priceless!

Pam: nice job. However, for awhile ,- it was going to be touch and go with you , the glue and the journal cover. Using the book jacket was a super idea. I was wondering where all those book jackets were going. Great! Carol from California

I honestly don't think you need a wired mic.. You sounded just fine even when you weren't near your phone.. I could hear you loud and clear 😁👍 Beautiful book cover!! I've often wondered what to do with the dust jackets, now I know! 😂💖

That really looks fun. I have lots of pretty scraps to use. Please throw those old metal bobbins away. You have a really nice machine and it wasn't cheap. Only use Parts that it uses and keep it clean. Paper makes more lint than fabric. Use a soft makeup brush in the bobbin area and do not use spray air it packs the lint in the machine. Not trying to be bossy. I don't want you having your machine in the shop for expensive work .
