I’m a Canadian but wired doesn’t sell their e bikes in Canada. I went with Fabulous e bike road warrior. Dual 750 motors with 60 volt battery. But with your modified wired freedom is a great bike. Thanks for sharing.

All the differences between Canadian bound bicycles and American only bicycles convinced me I made the best choice by buying Canadian! My bike has the fender wire for stability, aluminum fenders, a very similar rack, wired headlight and taillight, hydraulic 180mm disc brakes and the big difference; in most provinces in Canada a class 3 bike is legal and as long as you are pedaling you can easily do 50 km/h or 30 mph legally. Most US states limit ebikes to 20 mph!

It would be really nice if Fabulous would put out a video of their newest version of the RW. I've looked all over, can't find a single video on the newest version. They've made significant upgrades since the version in this video, and the upgrades really bring this bike into almost a must have ebike category. Really puzzling why no promotional video, or even Fabulous providing CitizenCycle with an updated model to review. I'm waiting for delivery of two of the RW Ultimate's, hopefully in about 2 weeks. I might just have to do a review myself, just to get one out there.

@kevinnashskitchen3517 Жыл бұрын
@@blued2601the battery connections go to a small cube shape device... and one from the controller.. All 3 plug into the combiner to combine 2 batteries. Most wire connections are hidden in a casing and you need to fish them out somehow. If it's already out you can just use it with no work.

Wheel size is the reason top speed is better but torque seems a bit lower than the Havoc.

Great review per usual I expect no less from you . The road warrior is a little too rich for my blood I'd rather have my Wired Cruiser that I should be receiving soon for a few reasons ; it's quicker take off , only 1 motor to replace if anything goes wrong , several $$ cheaper and last but not least I love the bmx style handlebars . Don't get me wrong it's a great looking bike but for the money I'll stick to the Wired .

What happened to the range test?
@johnforbes9007 Жыл бұрын
The rear lights, while interesting and eye catching do seem to be too low for many vehicles driving behind the bike for their drivers to see them. Imagine riding in traffic ahead of the hood of a pickup truck or something larger. The lights being on the sides and separate from each other makes it likely that a driver would only see one and not both when stopping or slowing and the strobe could make it look like a turn signal instead of a brake light. The controller seems somewhat anemic when compared to the Wired Freedom controller.

I had never heard of Fabulous E-bikes, but based on your reviews and some by GoldBearBunny and talking with the owner, Lampro I just purchased the upgraded version of their Trail Step Elite that now comes with a torque sensor, larger head light and double rail crank. My only thing was to choose a thumb or half twist throttle. I went with the half twist throttle.

Now I’m worried. I have to single motor 750w 60v ordered and in the way. I partly chose that model because of the 60v and 100Nm of torque. After seeing this I’m kind of bummed. Maybe I should’ve spent the extra for the dual. Sigh. We’ll see.

Isn’t the single drive 100Nm of torque? Wouldn’t think it’s be that tame.
@bassw1758 Жыл бұрын
People get raped up in torque numbers, they literally mean nothing. Some motors are wound for better top speed, others for low end power, it's rare that you can have both, after that it's just how much wattage your puting to the motor. The motors on this biker are designed to spin fast.
@neilrumsey7280 Жыл бұрын
I now have the single motor 60v. Locked, pretty tame. Unlocked = torque city.

Grizzly has dual 30 ampers.. Something fishy going on here. The controller case looks bigger than my 33 amp controller case.

Great review as always, but what a mixed bag of capability and a lot of poorly-thought-out design issues this bike is. I've never seen a bike that so desperately needed a rear suspension, it just looked painful for you to go off-road. That battery box is the ugliest, most impractical thing I've ever seen, and that stretched out stem looks like a cheap afterthought. The frame geometry looks positively childish and slightly feminine for some reason, and the labeling and branding stickers are infantile. Which is too bad, the idea of a more well-thought-out dual motor bike would be compelling #PASS
