Wow. In all my years of stamping, I have never seen anyone using both sides of vellum. The results are simply stunning. I just love watching your videos. You have such a soothing voice and share with us your technique of how to make unique and beautiful cards using minimal, simple supplies.

Lovely technique - cannot wait to try it. The stamping tool (aka your alabaster) is called a Chuckie Tool. It was created by Chuck Meadows for Gina K. to help with arthritic hands. He is so kind, he declined to patent it and told anyone who wanted to make one and even sell, to have at it.

Great idea!!! Beautiful cards!! How do you keep the ink from smearing on the vellum?
@Chrissieannie

If you use a dye ink like the one I used, it dries fairly quickly and being on the reverse can't be touched by anything to risk smearing!

to make glue invisible behind vellum = put some glue (the white kind) on an extra surface dilute with a LITTLE bit of water and then apply this EVENLY and THINLY all over the vellum - stick the vellum down - a good idea is to put some weight ( a book maybe) on it for a little while a glue stick might also work

I also love that stamp and am crossing my fingers that I have it, but so far can’t find it in my spreadsheet of my inventory… many of my stamps are currently in boxes. I also can’t find it online - might we be able to confirm it is SSS Rose Leaves or not? I always find myself wishing the names of stamps and firs were mentioned. Such beautiful techniques I’d love to recreate!

Hi I have a question which is the front side the you use, the colored side with ink or just the embossed white side..
@Chrissieannie
@Chrissieannie 2 жыл бұрын
I used the white embossed side as the right side! The coloured stamping is on the reverse.

@@Chrissieannie @Dawn Miller - Any chance it's Rose Leaves Background by Impression Obsession? It looks similar. Simon sells many brands. This may be out of stock now.

I believe you are right, I have a lots of IO and Simon's background stamps and have probably got them muddled. I certainly purchased it from SSS. Thanks for your help.

@@Chrissieannie Well, I loved it. So, of course, I had to have it. Can't wait to use it. I have a database full of my crafty stash as I've purchased the same thing more than once so now I double check to be sure it's now already in my possession. Works most the time.
