Hello, you can create via a face based generic model template then change the type to lighning and enable lighning source (via the "yellow folder icon"), thus avoiding the nested family.

Create a mass with the desired shape then use the "wall by face" command and click on the faces of the mass to create walls that follow the shape of faces of the mass
