I do the "hand thing" on every first date i go on. The ladies love it. One of these days i might even go on a second date. More trivia: The movie was supposed to be set in "the near future", where the face technology would fit better, but for various reasons it was decided that it should be set in the present. Obviously they had to keep the surgery part. The boots the prisoners wore are reused props from the Super Mario Bros movie from 1993, because "they were cool".

Face/Off is a great movie by John Woo. It's unfair to say this, but you can almost reduce John Woo movies down to 'Slow motion' and 'Doves'. Other movies of him that I liked are MI:2, Broken Arrow and Hard Target. There are other great movies that I have not seen. Many people complained about Mission Impossible 2. I believe these are people that mostly had not seen any of his previous movies including Face/Off Face/Off is a masterclass in acting and mimicry. John Travolta mimicking Nic Cage is brilliant and Nic Cage's over-acting was neccessary to establish Castor Troy's style so quickly. This is really good movie and I am glad you enjoyed it.
