Here as a volunteer face painter for my church harvest party! Our normal painter (amazing artist who now bakes) was unavailable last year so i volunteered and not one to do things by half, got sucked in. Finally bought some split cakes this year and now i find i need sponges, a rinse station, primary colors and probably glitter!

What a great resource this video is!! I have two additional tips for a water bucket option and an unbreakable mirror. For school theater productions with several face painters, I make sure to bring well-cleaned takeout containers (we get white plastic ones with clear lids) to be used as water buckets. They work very well for wetting sponges and double as a container to take used sponges home in. As for unbreakable mirrors: IKEA does a smaller unbreakable mirror in the kid’s department, or check out a camping store/site for a camping mirror!

Why white pearl? which are the best pearls to have in your kit? Thank you so much for your tips and videos!!!! Kisses from Spain :)

Great question! A good pearl white or metallic white is Fusion, or Superstar. Pearl white is a very soft and subtle white that is great for bases on the face and doesn't crack. With normal/ prime white when applied as a base it can look too heavy, begin cracked and look uneven (requiring more layers, getting more cracked). With pearl white this won't happen :)

Are there sanitation regulations for face painting if so what are they I'm assuming a different sponge for each kid but do you have to clean your paint in-between each kid?

@FacePainting101 Жыл бұрын
It is best to sanitize everything because the insurance will not cover it if one is not keeping sanitary. So it is very important.
@narelyhernandez4283 Жыл бұрын
@@FacePainting101 so do you rinse your brushes with water then spray it with the spray from the video or so you have multiple to let it soak for a few minutes? And do you just spray it on the paint and wipe it off?
@FacePainting101 Жыл бұрын
I have 2 water buckets, one with brush bath by sillyfarm.com and with Force of Nature. First the brushes go into the watery brush bath solution and then I rinse it in the water bucket with Force of Nature. Since force of nature is hypochlorous acid, (which is safe to use on baby toys) There is no need to wipe or rinse the solution off, it is safe on skin, and toxic free while also been a disinfectant and sanitizer.
