Congratulations to you, but results may vary. I started using depilitory creams on my face as a teenager. The hair grew back thicker, coarser, and there was more of it. I eventually started shaving to prep for laser skin treatment. That's when it really became a nightmare. The stuff I could once wax off was too coarse to do anything with, and I had to continue shaving. Make sure you don't have hormonal issues before you start doing it; that's all I have to say.

I started shaving my face six months ago and have been quite pleased with the results. I was shocked to discover my peach fuzz was gray. A blondish gray, but still gray. My skin looks so much brighter now! I was thrilled! The peach fuzz hasn’t gotten darker or coarser, it’s still baby fine. When the hair grows back, it feels a bit coarser than usual while it’s short, but as it lengthens, the hair becomes thinner and softer. The hairs around my mouth and chin that I’ve plucked for years are black and coarse. But the shaved hair remains as peach fuzz.

I found that my tretinoin treatments VERY suddenly became much more aggressive. I suspect that there was enough vellus hair blocking the tret and now it had direct access to my skin! I love the way my foundation looks and I will continue to use the Flawless shaver on a regular basis. This was a great (and very BRAVE) video. Thank you for this one!

I ordered this device after you tried it the first time. I love it. I got it mostly for my upper lip because a razor, eyebrow razor or anything with a blade or tweezer irritates that areas. This doesn't pull or scratch so it is perfect for that area. I still use a blade type device on the rest of my face because it is faster and does not irritate me. Been shaving my face for years. No issues. Thanks for the update!

I've been using a razor in the shower on my face for at least thirty years and so has my dermatologist! I was never a "hairy" person, but when you use the razor you are also exfoliating as well. When I'm shampooing, I make sure all my hair is away from my face and then take some of the bubbles from the shampoo and put them on my face. Then, I give my face a quick shave. It keeps the skin smooth. I've always gotten compliments on my skin and love the addition of using a shaver. Angie, thanks for researching the facts vs myths! ❤️⭐️❤️

I've been shaving my face with a simple (inexpensive) razor for over 20 years. Many suoermodels do this at least once a week - in fact that's where i learned if this! It has been an excellent and non chemical way to exfoliate and get rid of peach fuzz or vellus hair. I still have to pluck the terminal hairs as they grow out stiffer, and are more obvious. My makeup goes on smoithly, and my skin has a very smooth texture. I use hair conditioner as my shave cream, and follow up with serums, moisturizer, etc. . . as usual after my weekly shave :) Fantastic technique for smoother and healthier skin! I encourage you to give it a try!

I just purchased the "newest" Finishing Touch Flawless shaver that actually recharges! I was only able to find the rechargeable Flawless in black -- not as pretty as the white! Since my surgical menopause, my peach fuzz has been out of hand!! Every foundation and powder sat on top or accentuated each and every hair! And, yes, I also have a lovely little mustashe and chin beard of darker hairs. The rechargeable Flawless looks exactly like the battery style, same on switch, same light, same rotary shaving head, easy to clean, easy to replace. The instructions actually guarantee that your hair will not grow in darker or thicker! The instructions claim it takes 8 hours for the system to complete a full charge -- a red indicator light on top shuts off when fully charged. Out of the box, I found it took just under 3 hours to get a complete charge. I used mine the 1st time 4 days ago, and I LOVE it!! It does get slightly warm as you use it, but never uncomfortably hot on my skin. I am a nobody, but I do give the rechargeable 2 big thumbs up!!

Angie, thank you for such a thorough review. I have very dry and very oily skin. A makeup artist recommended I shave my face before they used airbrush makeup on me, since airbrush makeup would sit on top of my fuzz. I have been shaving my face ever since, at least twice a week. My fuzz has never grown back thicker or darker. My acne breakouts have been reduced a great deal since I have been shaving my face. I think the fuzz on my face held onto the oils and caused more acne. My skin has been in much better shape since I started shaving my face.

I bought this on the very day you featured it. Wow! Those other litttle face razors only collected loose skin particles. I have been using a chemical remover for years (I'm 80 next month) but hesitate to use it regularly because of the reaction that necessitates a cortisone cream to calm my skin. Also the chemical product didn't really capture all the fuzz. This is such a wonderful product. If I miss a spot or two, I can redo that area in no time. All older women should be using this. You have been so helpful in providing complete reviews. Have made several changes but this one must rank in the top 3 for me. Not wishing you bad luck but it would be great if you were 20 years older with dry skin, then I could really relate to your favorites!

I highly recommend threading. It's been around FOREVER! No stubble, it allows your products easy access to pores and some say it triggers a release in collagen to "repair" the skin. I can go six to eight weeks between and I love the way my make up goes on :) I have my entire face, neck and brows done and I think the hair actually comes back finer.

hi Angie, I really appreciate your no-nonsense and concise approach to products. I've been using a very small "eyebrow" trimmer blade on dry skin to shave off unwanted dark hairs near the corners of my mouth, above the lip, and near the chin area (thanks to menopause!). I also use it for the peach fuzz on cheeks and near the sideburns area of my face. It makes such a difference in the appearance of my skin, and the way that any lotions or makeup blend in. It's also a great way to exfoliate! I'm 65 and most of the time, people can't believe my age ; )

Blonde, but long and a lot of it. It does give a radiance and is a game changer for foundation. Also, on real talk a gentleman had a skin test done at a dermatologist and found that his beard area was the healthiest part of his face. The dermatologist explained that it was due to shaving and exfoliating all his life. Take a look at your mans face closely and you’ll see he has fewer fine lines in this area! Thanks for the update, Angie! I was very skeptical in my comments in the previous video, going on my own past experiences, but I tried something similar again and I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I do have very dark and thick hair in places due to hormones and my hair grows fast, so I still think it works best for those with light coloured peach fuzz. I still have to pluck the dark ones/thick light ones individually. But I'd recommend it for the fact that you get a better application of makeup.

Several years ago I went to a doctor for laser hair removal (peach fuzz on my upper lip that was beginning to darken from menopause) and after the first session, she told me not to tweeze or wax my facial hair in between laser treatments. Instead, she wanted me to simply shave it with a razor. Lightbulb moment: It's ok to shave my face with a razor! I discontinued the expensive laser treatments and started shaving my face with a disposable razor about once a week. I tried the shaving device Angie recommends here and it worked well. It's a good alternative to a razor, it just doesn't shave as closely.

That being said, I have been, well...struggling would be an understatement...with different facial hair removal techniques from waxing, to a facial hair diplatory I just tried for the first time (and not liking because it gave me dry patches). Anyway, I too thought this method would make the hair grow back way thicker & darker. Me being dark haired, with light skin (Irish decent); I always had courser, dark stubble grow back on my legs & underarms from shaving. I am to the point where I will "almost" try anything. Thank you for this informative video. I just purchased this and used it for the first time today (June 4/2019). I love that it has left my skin very smooth to the touch but it smarts a bit. Hope this soreness disappears soon. Your advising how long in between uses is very helpful. It sure beats plucking with tweezers which is what I was doing before. Besides plucking being painful it was unpredictable because my eyesight isn't what it used to be. Thanks again for the info.

Amen, sister! I’ve been telling my 2 grown sons that they’ll have to help me w/ these issues as I age because even now @59 between the eyesight and arthritic hands.... ughh, lol🤪

I am a male beautician. Your reply reminded me of how my face felt after shaving with an electric shaver for the first time with in my 20s. Our skin needs to get used to it; just takes a short while if you shave slowly and gently and don't shave back and forth against the growth direction. Soon, as your face becomes used to it you can be a bit more aggressive and enjoy your shave.

Hi Angie! I have just had an aesthetician shave my face. I love it! I'm interested in how you feel about this device after 6 years.

i was so interested in the results you've posted about this product, especially after watching the follow up video that i went and bought it. i liked how my skin felt after using it. but then after 2 weeks, my skin had ingrowns and started to breakout from underneath those ingrowns. i went from clear skin to a skin full of little bumps and breakouts. so i guess its not for everyone. sadly

I'm a double-edged safety razor shaver. I also use it on my face. I lather with brushes and shave soaps and creams. The brushes are great exfoliators and I get the closest shave on face, legs and I even shave my arms.

I have been shaving my face for years, I do it in the shower after the hot water has softened my skin and I mainly do my sides of my mouth where hair tends to grow more. It has NEVER caused me to have thicker hair or a stubble so you are right about it being a myth. I am 54 and where I DON'T shave, under my chin, is where I get the most hair and ingrown hairs...go figure...

Hi Angie, I have been shaving my face for years...I use shaving for exfoliation and my make up application is so much easier without the "peach fuzz"... It's funny, generally I am not a "hairy person", however as soon as I am post menopausal, I have hair growing where it shouldn't and have hair loss where it should be! lol... thanks for your video, I have tried this little shaver, didn't work for me, so I just use a regular shaver that has been cleaned with alcohol prior to use...

I dont' have much facial hair and what I do have is baby fine and very light blonde. But since I'm 55, like you said in one of the videos - this one or the original one where you used the facial razor - you skin changes and the little bit of hair bothered me. So I watched your video and then bought and tried the face shaver you used. (Can't remember the name off top of my head) I have to say - day 3 and no stubble yet but then again - it may take a lot longer for mine to grow back. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion and tips!

I actually bought one not long after your first video and love it. I was using the twinkle eyebrow razors. They are ok but this is my favorite of the two. Thanks Angie.

I started shaving my face a few weeks ago and I love it. I also use a regular razor like for my legs with a generic moisturizing shave gel for sensitive skin I picked up at Target. I use a warm wet washcloth on my face first to open the pores. I make sure my face is very moist with water and the gel and I rinse the razor after every swipe to moisten it and to clean it. I gently shave in a downward motion without using too much pressure. I am super careful around my chin as that's the area to be most sensitive so as I don't get too close of a shave in that area. I also go down my neck. It literally takes me 2 minutes from start to finish. After I finish and rinse and dry my face I put on some coconut oil or some of my homemade body butter with natural butters and oils and I never have issues with bumps or redness. I absolutely love it. And being in menopause it helps with the whiskers you develop. I shave once a week but I do have to pluck the 5 or 6 heavier whiskers within the week. I recommend it. My face feels fantastic, it's exfoliated and smooth, and my makeup looks great.

That little shaver was so hard to find. Lol I had been looking for one before your video but all that i saw was around 24./25. 00. UGH. I was about to use my husbands. (Not quite). After your video i decided to bite the bullet and go for jt. I had been using the kind that you were holding in your right hand for awhile. That one was easy to make mistakes with. I am so glad that i bought the finishung touch. Though it is addictive. I do still have 3 or 4 stubborn ones that i HAVE to pluck. But other than thatit is a win win. Thanks for your informative tutorials.

My daughter thought my hair looked like I had more hair grow back. It’s soft but its not thicker but absolutely fear that. How can it not get course or darker? I use proactive have for 20 years. But I’m twice your age. My mustache has gotten thicker and darker. So its not true that it will not get thicker. Longer even I use the same type of shavers for my eye brows because its easier on my eyes and body back etc. However honestly your hair does feel stubbly. It felt bad and tickled around my mouth as well as shocking me to an extent when I’d touch my lips it was very sensitive. The area around my side burns is very long now and very embarrassing and I felt embarrassed as it will and does grow back but ticker and longer. I certainly didn’t want to shave every three days because if I did it would absolutely get thicker and thicker. That is exactly how our legs get and if you want to help your son with peach fuzz you advise him to start shaving with more regularily. So that is absolutely how a to help a young man to develop his bread growth so its the same with women. I’m an cosmetologist/ manicurist, with training in all types of skin hair techniques. I use those shavers for my eye brows as I said and since I’m older and I don’t need a perfect shave on my legs I have one for my legs also. They do not give you a close shave they help it to be good enough. They are much easier than shaving in the shower but never can I get a close close shave. The eye brow shaver is absolutely wonderful with those shavers as its painless it gets the hairs close enough and it can be done every few days in between the brows and only needs to be used weekly or longer under the brow. So those shavers have their place but being threaded is better easier but more costly. Threading is the only ethos of hair removal that I have seen to actually help in less growth the more often you have it done the quicker it will grow back but since you are pulling the root out you ave the ability to do it les often. No harm in trying it some women are light on the peach fuzz and it may b a good option for them, I’m European so naturally have more hair all over my body genetically. And older making that type easier than face shavers from a beauty supply and frankly as far as this being right for everyone to absolutely is not. It very much depends on the amount of hair you have, your age plays a part and there are many things to consider depending on each person’s genetics. So as always try at your own risk and no two faces or experiences Impo, will be the same. This is absolutely something we all have free will to choose by and need to consider what our results and outcomes will be. Choose wisely. Thanks for your video and it should be helpful for many. Everyone realize please all these beauty type advice videos are made because the people making them want to come out with new videos so they need to come up with ideas, so are they going to tell you stay revenant. So take them with a very strong understanding of yourself in mind. I am not trying to be unkind, ugly or trying to dis your research but everyone should always be extremely cautious with any treatment they decide to do on themselves. So with this caution in mind do whats best for you your skin type and hair type. At the same time I giving a word of caution always for everyone to follow their heart and genetic makeup.

You are right! The hair on your face is different......the name starts with an "F" cannot remember the name. And your serums and creams penetrate the skin better. Thanks, Angie!

I think this is worth posting again. Don't listen to the comments that say that it won't make your hair grow back thicker. If you have hormone issues, like PCOS, it certainly WILL. I started shaving in preparation for laser treatments in my twenties, and when the hair grows in it looks like I have a BEARD! I think waxing, threading, or good old fashioned tweezing is the way to go if you only have a few hairs. They won't grow back as quickly or as thick, and you can continue to control it with waxing, threading, or tweezing until you can get electrolysis or something along those lines to permanently solve the problem. Shaving, unfortunately, can mess all of that up by giving you too much thick ingrown hair to deal with! I'm speaking from experience. Please make sure you know how your body will react to losing some of its hair before you attempt shaving. It can really mess up your beauty routine if you are one of the ones for whom it grows back in darker and thicker.
