I went to college for a year in long island, took on accounting because of influence from parents. i have always been passionate about film and realized I HAVE to do it. if i do an office job i will die. i am thinking of moving to community college in cali then switching to USC. i stopped everything with film but am picking it up again. i forget most things unfortunately but you are one of my biggest influences freddie and i just wanted to really thank you. I am finally purchasing a new camera and getting back into filming. havent had one since 7th grade. Im rusty on everything but this channel gives me hope and your passion inspires me. I love you freddie wong. :)

We may not be doing special effects, but I'll be checking out more of your videos just for the fun of it! ^_^

Great effect! I'm would it be possible to do this without actually having a dummy mask? It's essentially for reference right?
@psukhopompos8 жыл бұрын
+Shutter Authority It's to help with the illusion. Having the actor actually pull something off and discard it means a lot less work for you and a more realistic end product.

I always wanted to know how you guys did this! I love you'r VFX tutorials :)
@Nonskiller4 жыл бұрын
Basically to do this; you need some kind of mask reference (latex mask) SAME ANGLE. LIKE SAME ANGLE NO CHANGES NO CAMERA MOVEMENT. CANVAS. Then you manually rotoscope because Automatic is lame (You can do it to make it easier but it lame) That's pretty much it. Then you use the head you want to replace for the new head (50% opacity to see compare motion; then 100% when done) that will be underneath that head which follows the actual mask and then utilizing the Puppet-Warp Tool while it is being manually tracked/parented/manually following the shape of the actual mask. With motion blur on for cleaner look.
