I am really sorry that Lars left google and went to work for facebook... He is a big lost for Google. But I do see why he left... after google gave up on his amazing Google wave product, I would also have been pissed and would go away. I do hope that now that google has a good social network he will eventually come back and bring some of the great google wave innovations into g+.

You are entitled to your opinion... I am entitled to mine... I think wave is still a great product, it simply did not gain traction because the majority of the population was not ready for it. There will be a time when a product similar to wave will displace email. Wait and see the slow development of the collaboration features in google drive start to integrate some of the ideas behind wave.
