Thank you. The part I'm missing is how to move content from one guide to another. Say I have a post in Guide 2 but with a reorg it really fits better in Guide 1. How do I do that?

You have to remove it from guide 2 and then re add it to guide one. It’s a pain as if it’s an old post it will drop down your timeline.

@@AnitaWong That's good confirmation, thanks. When I click the options there is none for "remove from this guide", nor "remove from this unit". There is one that says "remove post" but does this entirely remove the post from my group, or does it simply remove the post from my guide? TIA

Hello from Mauritius Anita! Gosh I've been going to the settings menu on the left to access the guides - while the actual guide link was right up there next to discussion XD!!! LOL hiding in plain sight - thank you for pointing to it!!! On the settings menu, you can't add new guides - but under the guide link from the main page, you can indeed! Thanks a lot.... We just got into lockdown in Mauritius - and last year i was using the groups to organise sellers offering deliveries during lockdown... and it was so helpful to people - say who want to order eggs - or groceries within the town (The group is for my town) ... so i've re-instated that this year - and you've been helpful!!! Wonder why FB would change that name to guide...

+Gwenda Smith I used ecamm for this recording. It is a Mac based tool to live stream and record. You can use zoom or Loom to achieve the same style if you don’t have a Mac. I think you have to remove them via the post in the feed not in the guide area

Ok yes it’s the PDF that I was struggling to delete and yes I figured out to go to file tab or original post to delete there. This was recently changed as I had deleted direct from the Guide not long ago. Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it

Hi Anita… love your videos. I wanted to know how I can share a web article from safari to my Facebook business page while on my iPhone? When I want to share the article the up arrow on safari only gives me the option to share on my personal Facebook. Do I have to just copy the link and post it on my Facebook business page (in business suite?)any help will be appreciated

Yes, just copy the link and paste it onto your page that way the article will appear for you and you can add some text as to why you’ve shared it.

@@AnitaWong update: I was doing it on my desktop. It took about 24 hours after I created the guides for it to show as an option on my posts. So I guess for some accounts, it just takes a little time for that option to appear.

Great demo - thank you. Do you know if there is a way to hide or remove the posts from the main group feed? For example, I've created a guide with 9 posts right away and now each individual post has taken over my group's discussion feed. I don't want to confuse anyone. I was thinking of just doing one post to send them to the guide. (I hope this makes sense.) Thanks again!

I have so many old videos to update in a certain guide, it doesn't make sense that it shows in the news feed, just clogging up the feed and confusing group members. Do you think if I delete it from the feed after it shows, it will stay in the guide and won't be deleted from the guide as well? Maybe that would be a hack if I act quickly before people see it.

@@AnitaWong Thank you for responding -- it is set and I have had guides for a long time but my menu is so different than it use to be. Example, the cover page is only on the left top corner of the page unlike where it use to be pretty much across the top. I wish I could do a screen shot. I looked to see if I changed an option for the menu by accident but do not see anything there either.

@@AnitaWong Thank you--The only option is "remove post" and I am afraid it will remove the post from the FB group. It is a video streamed into the group that was then assigned to a guide. I now want to put it in another guide. I am afraid if I go into the guide and "remove post" it will remove the original post. Thoughts? I may just have to test it with a post I don't care about. @@blairlauver4798 To be on the safe side, download the video post from your group to your computer. But I believe it just means remove post from units (guide)

+Alana Smit unfortunately Facebook took the option to move them by dragging when they did the update recently. You have to remove each one from the unit and add to a new or existing unit

If you added a post to a guide but clicked on the wrong guide. Are you able to switch to another guide?

Yes, go to the post in question in your timeline not in the guide and click the three dots. You should be able to remove it from the guide and put it back into the one you wanted.

I kept on getting an error message when I post a videos inside the Guides that says...Sorry, something went wrong and we are trying hard to fix it. I have tried to remove cache, restarted my computer...nothing seems to work. I even tried loading my videos from different devices, I still receive the same error message. +Elizabeth Frei you have to go into the settings and you can switch them on in there by choosing learning as your group or by adding them. Scroll down as it’s near the bottom.
