Probably 1 of the best videos I've seen. I'm no pro, but note, you MAY want to edit, "you certainly don't need 2 pixels in the real estate example..." but you would want 2 pixels when it comes to audiences (for us, it's a B2B pixel tracked on landing/business pages, Consumer Pixel tracked sitewide) if using an alternate integration (ie. Hubspot or other list synch tool) THO, I do have questions if events are redundant on fb vs google tag manager... any help!?!?

Facebook pixel standard event with and without event setup tool: Event setup is used for website builder. Manually paste code if it's funnel builder. In case you don't show separate ty page and only success msg, obviously use only event setup tool. Always prefer pasting code instead of event setup. Event setup may not show in pixel helper too, plus glitches.

Hi, installed the pixel and set up the event. The event is showing up as active my events manager, it's green. However, I am only seeing pageview in the pixel helper. I did not set the event manually. I used the set up helper and selected to track the submit button. You want to install the events manually following the steps in the video on the pages someone would hit AFTER clicking the button. That's the real measure of what someone is doing. The event setup tool is glitchy and doesn't always work in every scenario, which is why I prefer using the manual code whenever possible.

Can you have multiple of the same event pixel under one Ad Account / Main pixel? Like if you have various separate brands in Ad Account A and you have the main Pixel A installed on various websites. You want to set up purchase pixels for a few brands under Pixel A but want them to be different so if Brand B and Brand C are running ads at the same time, we don't want Brand B getting purchase pixel data from Brand C.

you can set up multiple Pixels even if it is under the same Ad Account. Each Pixel can track different sets of Events.s. in your case, you will want different Pixels setup for every Campaign you are running. make sure you're tracking separate events from each campaign you are running for each Brand. keep things clean.

I've put in my pixel and using the extenstion on google, its working. But the standard event in the pixel doesnt. On my google extension i get this warning We detected event code but the pixel has not activated for this event, so no information was sent to Facebook. This could be due to an error in the code, but could also occur if the pixel fires on a dynamic event such as a button click. Has anybody had this?

So, do we have first to set up a FB pixel code to our wordpress websites and then set up CAPI? Because i saw, that when setting up CAPI, i can create a pixel and then connect it with the facebook pixel plug in.

You will have that option in wordpress, but not everyone will be able to do that. I personally prefer to set up the pixel first and then connect it to make sure I've done all the steps listed in this video, but you can opt for that if it's easier for you based on what you're using!

However, I'm getting deduplication issues and have no idea how to fix it. FB guide is really complex to follow. I tried to search in KZbin but haven't found any vudeo regarding to this. You need to have your code on the pages/site and then you can set up CAPI. You can't set it up without the code. You just don't need to do the standard events if you're using CAPI! You shouldn't be getting duplicated events if done correctly. Happy to answer any other questions on this!

@@RonaldShin Pageviews are not a conversion. It's just tracking page views. Your conversions for CAPI will be things like schedule, lead, purchase, complete registration, submit application, etc. It depends on the platform your site is on how you implement it specifically but CAPI is for tracking pixel conversions, not your overall web tracking.

You need to install the pixel code manually as shown in this video. Put the main pixel code in the header of the HTML, then use something like CAPI or Event Setup Tool to track your events (I Prefer CAPI after ios 14)

very screwed up your tutorial. the base code from facebook on my website says: missing alt attribute. and a have a triangle ( yellow) placed side by side with the 14 line from the base code.

Delete it and paste it back again. You copy the code directly from facebook and it will be correct. Then go back and add events after your base code is correctly installed.
