CHMedia (College Humor, Dorkly, Drawfee) prioritised facebook over youtube and other apps based off these fake numbers, and lost loads of money. They had to lay off most of the staff, and they're parent company sold them to Sam (who had been managing the companies). This is why they had to move to Dropout - they no longer have the parent to bail them out on a bad quarter, they need to be certain of their income

While the app has permissions to do those things, it does not contain the AI to do them on its own. It also does not contain the permissions to grant remote control to another person. If you were to look at say, Saolitaire's app, that app has the permissions to read my phone status and identity, modify or delete contents of your USB storage, Read the contents of the USB storage, View your network connections and control the vibration of your phone. Sounds scary right! And thats just for an offline Solitaire game. You all get hyped up over nothing. I dont have Messenger on my phone out of principle.
