What would be the best strategy for someone that falls in the following group: 1) No prior customer database or engagement online 2) A niche product that appeals to a subgroup of a larger general group 3) That product is at a better price point than the competitors 4) Competitors with the same general audience aren't coming up in the detailed targeting section

To achieve the same conversion and engagement outcomes, pixel lookalike and engagement lookalike audiences cost 15% more for political ads than targeting Trump supporters directly. I say this while using a 5 year old Pixel and ad account.

@@fabthieb hey mate! We use conversion campaigns, and will be testing Ben’s advice when we launch our next ones (currently waiting on new creatives). We’ve been interest stacking for the past 2 years and it’s worked wonders (some clients seeing 900-1,500 additional bookings/month) but it seems to have dropped off a cliff since Christmas really. Now we’re doing about 500 bookings/month per venue, so I was hoping changing up the targeting would help. Hope this is useful pal!

@@fabthieb take any in line with what your client’s cuisine niche is - so for one of our clients being a BBQ business we would do BBQ, steaks, burgers, hotdogs, fries, desserts, anything like that - now they’ve taken a few of those options away so I feel that’s what’s caused the issues. We stacked at least 30 over time after testing so audiences got very very specific and had a ton of data behind them. Shame really!

Hey Ben! Super useful video! I'm currently running ads for a client which has general store e-commerce. Until March, we've had pretty good ROAS and sales but, in the last 4 weeks, ROAS dropped by 2x. Can the Broad targeting you've been talking about in this video be of any help with a general store? So far we've always targeted people by the niche of the product and led them to the product page on a general store. Sales are pretty good on a monthly lvl - from 500 to 800, but ad spend is much higher and I really can't understand why this is happening cuz we're doing everything by the book and so far it worked just fine.

Hi Dave, thanks a lot :) A) Not as much no. Facebook can fully track when people are using any of the Meta apps - people do that often and that will provide plenty of geo data B) Those sorts of interests are affected but not massively. A lot of the data used to categorize people will come in app. Provided the interests you're targeting haven't disappeared, you should be all good

Hey Ben, one question about LL Audiences. Is it just possible to create them on country-level or are there are any hacks to create it with a city and some km around it? LLA are nice, but for local business they seem useless?!

Sure - you create them at the country level and then add them to an ad set that has whatever location you want to target. That way they will only target people in the LAL and in that location. With that set up we use them for local businesses all the time.

You are very welcome . Might just be a technical glitch? I would give the audiences a full day to see if that changes. I would also try advertising to it and see what you get - sometimes the audiences work just fine, even though you've been shown incorrect sizes in Audiences.

Hi Peter, every campaign depends on the kind of product/service you are promoting. The important thing is to always choose audiences bigger then 1mil and use only one interest per ad set. (except if you did already before a mix and it worked). The aim for every campaign is to find winning stuff and scale. In case you do an audience with 3 interests and you sell like crazy you will never know which audience made you money. While if you separate you will know. Once again, it may depend on the product and service. Good luck and don't fall for the cheap strategies you see online 🥳

Hello Ben, i have list out 20 interest group that i would like to target with a purchase based conversion ad selling a $7 digital product which people will need only once I already have an ad running targeting stacked interest audience which contains all these 20 interest group and the size is 150 million (in india) which is huge but the results are not satisfactory now i have seen from many fb marketers is that they run numerous ad with each targeting a single interest audience i have myself come across many ads from the same advertiser selling the same thing but targeting a different interest though I got to see their ad no matter what interest they are targeting. Now should we run numerous fb ads selling the same product targeting various single interest group or will it leads to massive audience overlap as though the interest is huge but they have a lot of similarity?
