I really love mapping timelapses - I think it's really interesting both to see the whole idea unfold and to see how people go about making their levels. I love all the little details, like placing candles next to the impaled humans and that suspended dude above the doorway! The high-quality Doom music was a bonus! =)

Oh man I just realised this is actually Doom Builder 1. What a blast from the past lol. You could not even draw lines over each other without breaking the entire geometry and having a bunch of unclosed sectors. Why don't you use DB2?

There are certain tricks that help. Doom Builder has a lot of options that you might not know about. Learn how to copy & paste textures. Copy & paste texture/line/thing properties. There are a lot of options that you might not know of. Take a look at the Doom Builder controls.
