My Nana helped raise me, I never imagined life without her. But, the last time I saw her something was different. I held her hands as we spoke of my having graduated nursing school, dealing with deaths and so on. I asked her if she feared dying; she told me that by the time you reach her age you have more loved ones on the other side, than here. She said while she didn't want to leave her children, family here, she was ready to see the ones she's missed for so long. It wasn't long before she stepped into eternity for that family reunion. I sure miss her.

I really enjoy these videos, and I look forward to them daily. The story about young Bethany Ritenour was a sad story, and affected me a little more than usual. She seemed like such a strong young lady, but it goes to show you that even the toughest person has a weak point, and in her case it caused a sad and early end. Kids are very cruel, and most of it is just ignorance of peer pressure and unknowingly causing mental anguish. That story made me feel like crying, to be honest. I hope I wasn’t cruel to people when I was younger. Maybe people remember the things I’ve long forgotten.

My grandfather is 100 and still lives in his own home. He is healthy and well and has a lot of life left in him. His sister, who shared his birthday but 10 years older, passed last year at 109. She lived in her own home until she was 108. She gave up competitive ballroom dancing in her early 90's because there was too much travelling involved. Lol. My grandfather said the same thing, Lamont. Living to be as old isn't always so great because you outlive everyone. He keeps himself busy and active. It seems to help. Stay well.

It always saddens me when someone is harassed so badly that they feel that they have no way out other than to take their own life. I know that when someone is intent on committing suicide, there’s little one can do to stop them. However, it’s normal to say to yourself, “if only I had done something.”
@J_e_s_s2 жыл бұрын
I've been that kid, and it taught me to be kind to everyone. It also made me quick to get in the middle of any potential bullying that I see. I don't even think; it just triggers my fight or flight response, and I always choose to fight in those situations. I still have a hard time standing up for myself though.

I am so sick and tired of hearing about young people being bullied for whatever reason. Precious lives gone in an instant because of these bullies. It begins at home, if parents don't teach their kids how to treat others, the cycle continues. Frankly if a law passes (anti-bullying) I think these perpetrators need to be held accountable. And I don't want to hear, "oh but they are just kids", yeah right, these kids KNOW better, they are NOT ignorant. Also the schools and the parents need to be held accountable for allowing this to happen. For these bullies, one day they will learn that blowing out someone's candle (their confidence, self esteem, etc) will NEVER make theirs shine any brighter.

Lamont at Large I've never been disappointed in you up in till now. It was that person choice to live to be 100 it was God's choose. When you end each video " Live but not Iive but by the grace of God I'm still alive"it's thanking God for each day that "YOU" Are still slive. One of my daughter in laws grandmother lived to be 100. She stayed in her home until her middle 90s and went to a nursing home. She was very blessed to see things and share awesome history with the family of several generations after her. The family never thought her living to be 100 was "EVER" a curse. 😮 Young people are dying before their parents, grandparents ...is that a curse too because they'll never get to see what is and could be next to be...😢

Looks like a very nice resting place. Well cared for and taken care off. I like how many of the headstones have the photo of the loved one on them. Very nice. The comment about the person over 100 yrs old and out living his family, friends, etc is used in movie The Green Mile. Tom Hanks character is touched by God thur another character and he out lives his wife, his children, his friends, and even the lady person in old home. It's a curse he thinks in the movie. Anyway thanks for another great video. You tell there stories so they can be remembered.

There where many more impressive memorials here. That US & USMC Flag pole presentation? Personally, that one blew me away! I've never seen one mounted with such respect & Valor for their beloved one. Some cemeteries don't allow for certain types of additional touch or elaborate decor, which requires seasonal up keep or routine maintenance? I know there are many devoted relatives & family whom change & decorate with seasonal or holiday motiffs. B.B. shows the remembered, the forgotten, the youngest & unfortunate, or the oldest. Even the some of these famous people you introduce are soon forgotten? Theres also many cemetaries w/rarely known back history w/ bizzare stories with its own unique oddity! Remember when you visited the one with that UFO crash site? Right on the cemetery grounds? But these young & tragic ones are the toughest for me! There are so many beautiful people that walked this earth and have come, lived & were gone long before they could start & finish as they had currently planned? An unfortunate abundance of motorcycles & motor vehicle accidents causing many losses. I think it's a fuckn lot load! Or is that just me? I'll compare my birthday to theirs, I realize how much shorter life really is here! Does anyone else do that? But, I'm still here, but I'm not. Great segment in another location in Texas!
