Wish I had found your channel before you came through here. Preston was killed in Maryland not in Fredericksburg but he is buried here. I remember when Ryan McCall passed in Orange County and when deputy Mooney passed.. and seeing other people I knows graves again is sobering For me. Erin fines was a classmate and a friend of mine and a beautiful person. She died after a courageous fight with colon cancer. I have also lost so many of my former classmates and friends here in Fredericksburg due to heroin especially. It really reminds me I’m so lucky to still be here. Thanks for doing a video here ❤️

This story of Ryan crashing the plane on a solo really hits a nerve for me. On my very first solo back in 1971, I botched my first approach and implemented an aborted landing and go around. I ballooned way up and almost stalled the airplane which would have put me nose first on the asphalt runway. I proceeded all the way to the crosswind leg of the pattern before I realized I still had full flaps set. No wonder the plane wouldn't climb. I barely cleared some hills off the departure end of the runway and at the same time my instructor got on the radio in another airplane on the ground and started yelling at me. I have never been so afraid in my life. I made it okay and now have over 4500 flight hours in singles, twins and small jets. Poor Ryan. God Bless him. I came so close to the same outcome.

Lamont, I just wanted to let you know that I discovered your channel last night (actually early a.m.) and I'm already hooked. You are a very compelling storyteller and I can tell you are also an empathetic soul. The way you describe the cases/victims/families is very genuine. I live in Knoxville, Tennessee and I wanted to personally THANK YOU for covering the Christian/Newsome murders. I went to college at the University of Tennessee and have lived in East Tennessee all my life. And I can tell you with the utmost confidence that this was the most horrific crime to occur in decades. I will NEVER UNDERSTAND how someone could do that to another human being. The answer has to be the perpetrators weren't human. They (including the female) are animals. And before I go any further, I DON'T GIVE A DAMN who was what RACE. It was portrayed as a Hate Crime by the prosecutor. No!! It was a crime against humanity. And for what?? Alot of people said that the couple shouldn't have been in that "part of town", WTF?! I've been in that part of town and most of the Knoxville area. Sometimes doing things I shouldn't have been....but that's another story. Anyway, did I deserve to be raped, murdered, mutilated and stuffed in a garbage can to slowly suffocate to death while my boyfriend was shot execution-style and set on fire..this case wasn't about race, it was about murder and the fact that humans are the most vicious predator on the planet. Thank you so much for ALL you do Lamont!! ❤❤❤

@MsChantae 3 жыл бұрын
@@Holyweed i feel you. and of course you're allowed to feel however. I'm 28 and I've seen so many of my friends die from the most random things: asthma, surgeries gone wrong, car accidents, murder, diseases, etc in their early 20's. some of the nicest, kindest people you'll ever meet and it makes me sad that they didn't have more time on this earth, but maybe they were just "too good" for this wicked place. But like I said, instead of getting depressed, which I have in the past, I'd rather try to make the most of the little time I have here and do good and be a better person. I was definitely obsessed with death and dying at one point and that was when I was depressed, now not so much. I think those two things sort of go hand in hand. I wanna see what life has in store for me and I'm hoping that it's guuuddd :D

Honest this happened to me . When I was about 12 years old . I was at an old church in the country that had a graveyard . I saw a headstone with a young good looking mans picture on it . I was sad and bowed my head and prayed that someday I would get to meet & help his family . About 2 years later I went with my new friend to a ladies house out in the country . I saw the guys picture on the desk and she told me how he died . Years later I moved into an apartment and met my apartment mangers mother and I found out she was kin to the dead man . I gave her a job to help her out in my business & she worked for me for years .

I would like to say in regards to Preston's case, when you hear gun shots outside, don't look out the door or window to see what's going on. You already know what's going on... Somebody's shooting. Get down on the floor and crawl under something. A bullet doesn't have a name on it. I've heard of many cases like this.

Thank you very much, Lamont. I found out about you through Sweetie Pie Lo, and I'm so glad she informed us about you. While it is true that this is somber content, I feel it is very important content to share. Thank you very much for researching and telling these people's stories. You are presenting these stories in a very respectful manner, in my opinion. /// Also, thank you very much for strongly dissuading people from driving while texting and following too closely while driving. There are people I won't ride with because they follow too closely and I certainly will not ride with anyone who is texting and driving. I wish everyone else felt as strongly as the two of us do about these driving issues. I don't know what motivated you to create this project, but I believe it is a wonderful thing you are doing for society. People can learn from these stories and hopefully make better life choices, for example, getting away from abusive significant others.These stories can also be an inspiration to people who are struggling physically and still trying to make the most of life. /// It's possible that you are giving some of these people more respect in death than they ever experienced in life. Your sincerity and dedication are very obvious. I have subscribed and will continue to go on your journeys with you. You are utilizing your time, gasoline, and energy to do this for them - and for us. I am very appreciative, Lamont. You are indeed a fine human being and a beautiful example of how people should behave toward one another. Bless you in your journeys. 😊

Your vids are of high quality, no shaking and high resolution. There are many famous graves in my area of Northern California and I will look into creating some videos of my own.

Thank you for talking about the opiate epidemic and Richard Cizik. I didn't know him but had heard his story. I'm a recovering opiate addict. I used for 25yrs, have been clean for 3yrs. You're exactly right when you said those pills did what they were made to do, get people addicted. I'm one of the lucky few who hasn't overdosed and have made it...so far. My heart hurts for Richard's family. I've seen so many lives lost and ruined because of this stuff. 💔 also, you said you'd never heard of someone making poppyseed tea before, I have. My boyfriend and I used to grow poppies to make tea lol. Only certain ones work, but I'm sure it'd be easy to overdose. Super thankful for life.

I survived a car roll over as a passenger and 2 motorcycle accident and I work in a steel company, and I have lower to mid back problems... which I have rods and cages in my back, now I am. Am on pain medication but to you and this freak Podcaster to say and assume that opiates are made to get people addicted just shows you that both of you know absolutely nothing about what real pain is, however if you got addicted look in the mirror and try blaming yourself, because there are people out there with real pain.but if you got another alternative as what I can do for the pain I suffer am all ears.

I used to live in Stafford for 11 years and just recently moved. I wish I had known you were going there I'd have asked you to stop at the Fort Lincoln Cemetary in Bladensburg MD before you went. My 10-year-old niece is buried there. She was killed in 1985 by a hit and run driver in front of the Bladensburg Elementary School in the crosswalk. There are many famous and interesting people buried there also. But Fredericksburg is an amazing historical town. All of our Doctors are there... if you do stay a few days you should drive over to Chancellorsville and visit the graves there. Its minutes away from where you are or were.

There are many people in this country who have health problems and need to take pain killers to be able to function. They are not designed to "get people hooked". I am a medical professional and people who are responsible can use narcotics and they need these to live a pain free life. It is hard to understand if you dont have cronic pain but do not judge these people because one day you may be in the same situation. Who in this world would have real cronic pain and refuse something that would relieve that burden.

Thank you!!! I have to take narcotics for severe chronic pain (22+ years) but have never been “high” in my life. I don’t drink and I don’t smoke but because opiates get such a bum rap the DEA is making it impossible for people like me to have any quality-of-life anymore.

Fay I would like to ask you a few questions about chronic pain and if there is any one to talk to that isn't judging like your a druggie or abusing the meds ? I have had 3 major accidents in my life work related that has left me unable to work and I use pain medication to function. I've taken meds for 11 years now and have never abused them or any of the other things you hear about however the doctors suggested I use this medication to be able to walk and function in life and not laying in a bed or chair suffering and it has worked very well but for the past several years the same doctors now say you no longer need this medication for chronic pain ibuprofen will work just as well and continue to give me less and less and in turn I'm less active and in more pain and when I go to the doctor they no longer care about my quality of life or how I feel and treat me like a drug addict. It's very depressing, I feel violated by the doctors for over 10 years they treated me as a human who needed quality of life that has now reversed into a struggle for my medication. My point is the same people who have administered the pain medication that works well for me are now taking it away and don't care about your quality any longer and treat you like a criminal. Someone has to be accountable I'm just not sure who to talk to about this do you have any suggestions for me or a resource I can contact? Thanks

@@davidwarring6232 i know how you feel. I have a family member who suffers from chronic back pain and he sees a pain specialist. As far as i know he is being treated with respect by the doctor and nurses at this clinic. I suggest that you see if there are pain specialists in your area and try to get in to see them. It sounds like your doctor is running scared because of this opiod crisis that is going on. I cant believe that he has been treating you for years and now expects you make it on ibuprofen. That is the only way that i can think of you getting help is through a pain clinic. I wish i knew more but it is this crisis with opiods that has so many doctors afraid. If you have tests that you could take to an appointment that proves that you have a reason to be in pain then maybe they could perscribe something without fear. I hope you have success. I will pray for you.
