That’s a fascinating one..especially just think Emma living till 1973 telling the story if people asked about her sister passing away. And when asked when her sister passing away saying oh she died in 1898. Being able to say that in the 1970’s..lol that’s just really crazy when you really think about it.

I believe that is Fred’s wife. Fred was her brother. Grace had no other sisters. Likely the stories Emma told she got from Fred.

My 3 friends and I (4 middle-age women) took a trip to Jamestown, N.Y. specifically to visit the Lucy and Desi Museum. I remember when we were crossing the Canada-US border the officer asked us what the purpose of the visit. When we said to visit the Lucy and Desi Museum, he just rolled his eyes and waved us through. I don’t remember which summer but it was before 911. We also drove by the house Lucy grew up in. The next year, we heard that the museum had closed, so we visited just in time. I still have the entry ticket to the museum. Please ask your sister whether the museum is indeed closed.

I for one sure hope that nobody ever desecrates that monument by breaking the glass that encases that beautiful statue of Grace. But as in life there is always the one who thinks that it would be a good to do so. There is something special about this grave that I cannot quite put my finger on. Perhaps it is the obvious love they had for their daughter that still shines through even after so long. But whatever it is I hope that they will all rest in peace.

I think it is actually a fairly common legend, with a woman in white or black, either of which could indicate mourning attire depending on the culture. It also appears in Dracula.

I’ve been thinking about that too I’m 63 and I was thinking about if I die I would never know about my daughter’s life or be here to watch my grandkids do something awesome with their live’s mostly because they are 14 & 11 so I probably will never know Great Grandchildren I don’t want to miss anything about them. And then I was wondering about what it’s like when you have passed away is it like sleeping how do you go from being aware to not being anything just dead ⁉️ I probably haven’t really explained what I mean in the right way because I really don’t know how to actually word what I’m trying to say all I know is I don’t want to not exist anymore.
@marthaj672 жыл бұрын
Only the physical body ceases to be. The human _soul_ does not die, it simply changes form. It is made-up of energy, which cannot be created nor destroyed. It's called the Law of the Conservation of Energy. If you look into it, it may help to reassure you that there isn't just "eternal blackness" after physical death. Now....where your soul goes after that is another story altogether; however, John 14:6 provides a surefire way to know _where_ you will spend Eternity.

Noah and God's other people on Earth lived to be nearly eight hundred years old..before things went bad and started sinning with Adam and Eve, I won't go into deep about the Bible most people don't want to hear it, But God didn't create people for them to die but instead meant them to live forever, And he also is not a cruel God, Jesus said he's the resurrection and life and the meek shall inherit the earth, there will be a Resurrection of the dead in God's kingdom once it's restored after God's judgment.

I would have loved to meet Ms. Grace. I am fascinated with opera after first seeing it in grade school on a field trip. I was captivated. As well as with the symphony. Grade schools no longer go on field trips like that, it is disheartening. I also remember walking through the woods during science class and finding and recognizing different insects and plants. Wonderful memories!! I was surprised that Ms. Grace was not Madrid by age 27. That is an older age to be single in that era. I wonder if it were by choice or because of her career.
