I underwent neurosurgery at the age of 20 after experiencing a hemorrhagic stroke. I was covered by the health insurance my parents had at the time and it helped me on my road to recovery. I'm almost fully recovered and under COBRA for my health insurance now. This legislation means that health insurance companies now must accept me and it makes obtaining insurance much easier. Right now I'm waiting to hear from Highmark Blue Shield. The Healthcare law ensures an equal opportunity for all.

I just recently went through a "sudden neurological malformation" last year which led to neurosurgery just 7 months ago, and I was extremely fortunate to have still been covered by my parents' insurance. Every time I think about it, I am thankful that I was still covered. I have no idea where I would be if were 26, with no insurance. Congratulations for your amazing recovery!

Because of the ACA my family is saving 11,000 dollars a year plus the 850 dollar rebate we received this summer. We were spending more on health insurance than house payments! There were times where we wondered how long we could go on paying this much. The day the ACA was passed I cried, because my family no longer had to worry about being able to afford health insurance along with paying bills for other basic expenses. I am so glad that this law passed, and has helped so many people.

Life is short. NO one should die because they can't afford health care and no one should go broke because they get sick or injured.

It's absurd that she had to seek insurance to try and save her life. Corporations are designed to turn a profit. What sort of society makes her life and death subservient to that goal?

You have no idea how happy I was to get insurance to cover my basic asthma meds and NOT have some insurance rep tell me I had a severe condition, and deny me simply because of their loopholes. So many people out there don't know how many lives are impacted by not being 100% healthy. So now here's an Asthmatic for Obama! (I do not have asthmaticus insurance companies!) 4 more years!

Noticed you have one dislike. I'm not sure what is there to dislike about having access to afford insurance that can save one's life. Maybe, I'm missing something or its just me. Personally, I'm glad Erica was able to get what she needs due to Obama's health care provision and not suffer a death sentence as too many American have because they don't have or can't afford health insurance.
