Faces of Rare Childhood Cancer | Merritt's Story

In 2019, at just 18 months old, Merritt’s journey with rhabdomyosarcoma began when a mass was discovered by her babysitter. After five surgeries, 42 weeks of chemotherapy, and radiation, she rang the bell in 2020, marking the end of her treatment.
Through it all, cancer couldn’t take away her bubbly spirit or zest for life. Now six years old, Merritt is full of energy, attending baseball games, playing with her brother, and dreaming of becoming a veterinarian.
Her family remains steadfast advocates for kids battling cancer, sharing their story and supporting fundraising efforts.
