_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

This story is so heartbreaking. How do whole families exist that have no conscience. All for the love of money. The horror that father must have felt when he realized his son's body was stolen. And to top it off, these thieves even wore the clothes of the deceased?! It's just unbelievable. This story was very eye-opening. It really brought to light the magnitude of these horrendous crimes. I hope all were recovered and now finally resting in peace.

It's macabre but I sort of agree that it was a crime of medical necessity, How many living peoples lives were saved by studying the bodies of the dead?

@Mac-po1sr This was no medical necessity but laziness and arrogance and greed. Morgues were packed with the unclaimed dead, disease was rampant, sewer systems were virtually nonexistent. It was a cheap way out by a disgraceful profession who thought they were part of the upper class.

I have enjoyed your stories and your story telling. Never did I realize that my family may have been involved in this story. There were 3 family members C Johann Wedding age 4 died 1873. Luise Wedding stillborn 1873. And Edward Wedding age 18 months died 1874. All buried at Evergreen Cemetery aka Whigville Cemetery.

Creepy, tragic, very sad. Shines light on why it was hard to control cholera and TB ( consumption) outbreaks at that time. Some got sick wearing stolen clothes from deceased people. What a practice, the lengths folks went to for money. Mind boggling. Thank you for this great episode.

This was well done, Ron and the music suited the topic. That was a pretty grotesque family to say the least. I'm sure some of the deceased were buried in their finest clothing and also, special pieces of jewelry. I guess these ghouls saw those items as a bonus or a perk of their " business". Can't think of anything much lower than wearing these special garments and items, like this daughter did. No conscience to slow them down, what a creepy family they were! Since I started watching your channel, I have become convinced that grave robbing was much more prevalent than I originally guessed it was. Just sad and it makes one wonder about just how many graves in these historic cemeteries are actually empty underneath?

This story bothers me. My mom died in 2017. Ann Arbor got her body. For study. It was my moms decision. I don't like to even think about the fact that this body snatching. Was attached to where my mom was given to. If we had known this. We would of never agreed to this. The college should of been sued. The doctors sued. That awful family should of been hung for desecrating graves. This story was hard to hear. Thank you Ron. For bringing this to light.

It sad to know a family would go to that level but to wear the dead people clothes was to far for the mind to understand. Pure evil! I think of our year 2023 and sad their really bad people out here now,, but then realize that world was evil back in 1800's and think wow that crazy! A story that gave a person the creeps, shock and shaking their head! You got a good video here Sir to know how people all over our country their mind and hearts are corrupt with pure evil. May the innocent dead rest in peace and Thankful they didn't know what was happening to them when they passed away, I feel sad for their families! Have a great day Sir and The gang! ❤️🇺🇸
