THIS STORY:
Mina "Margery" Crandon was a psychical medium. Investigators studied her intensely. She became more well known when her alleged paranormal skills were touted by Sherlock Holmes' author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Her methods and results were said to have been disproved by magician Harry Houdini, under an investigation in a contest sponsored by members of the American Society for Psychical Research and employees of the Scientific American.

_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Absolutely fascinating! I don't know how I hadn't heard of her before! You should do a story on Edgar Cayce, Ron. He was very well-known as a clairvoyant born in 1877. He's resting in Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

You did a very good job 👍.. my great aunt Grace my grandfather's sister had a wooden cabin here in hot springs Arkansas close to the lake called lake Hamilton....but in the cabin she would have seaunces with my family....i grew up there and we had family get togethers...everyone is gone now...ty for sharing this story bc it was a awesome and fun story... especially with Houdini thinking she was fake. But I loved it ...... safe travels and take care Ron....have a good week ahead....

This was a wonderful tale to listen to, even if bizarre! Always had a great respect for Harry Houdini and was totally intrigued with this story. I really enjoyed the music you selected, it made me feel like I was right there and even like I was watching some of the shenanigans this lady put on. ( Some of this was downright funny, I must say).Margery had quite an exhibitionist streak, didn't she? I did have some compassion for her, it seems everything unraveled for her after her husband's death. Thoroughly enjoyable, thanks so much, Ron!

how do you "know the trickery"? if it comes from the 3.1 spiritual dimension (and much greater)? while not impressed with this primitive material nonsense, the higher dimension are impressive. In other words...materialism is primitive and inferior and cannot revel the workings of the spiritual. Someday science will be able too. A device will reveal enough to get the attention of the bigoted scientist...

I read a book on Houdini. Harry didn’t believe in the paranormal. After he died his wife had many seances to try to contact him. None of them worked. I have personally had a couple readings. But there was no naked lady, glitter, nose discharge or rods involved. 😁 Margery was a piece of work. Thanks Ron for this epic story!

I'll tell you what I really like about these posts Ron, lest it be overlooked. These old graveyards are lovely archateual landscaped expressions. They are beautiful parks with remarkable shubberies and trees, and the monuments are intricate works of art. Its true that death might be all around but the lives of those buried there are honored by the intricately carved stones. The ironery might lie in the fact that deaths forboding presence preserves such pristine places from the troding riff-raff. May they never be tampered with. Thank you.

Rest in peace Mrs. Crandon, Walter Stinson, the Stinson Family, Rest in peace everyone. My opinion: Fakes of any kind in this area cast a bad jacket on all who practice in these areas be it privately, or professionally. As for magician's magik tricks most are guarded secrets. Stay safe Sir & everyone. Ps. sad to say but talk about the power going to ones head she may have lost it.
