A must-read book for the story, written by Maria‘s brother Charles, buy it on Amazon, here is a link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/150...
Also we have a co-author named Dennis Tomlinson who has weighed in here, subsequent to the publication of this video. He details other theories on who the culprit may be based on all of the evidence. Here is a link he provided:

Maria Elizabeth Ridulph was an American girl who disappeared on December 3, 1957 from a street corner in her neighborhood in Sycamore, Illinois when she was seven years old. She was last seen by a childhood friend in the company of an unknown man who appeared to be in his early twenties and called himself "Johnny". Nearly five months later, her remains were found in a wooded area near Woodbine, Illinois, approximately 100 miles from her home.
The case, well known in the Chicago area, was widely reported as the oldest cold case murder in the United States to be solved when Jack McCullough, who under his former name John Tessier had been a neighbor of the Ridulph family, was convicted for her murder in September 2012.
THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

The thing that upsets me more about these type of crimes is that, whether imprisoned or never caught, the mongrels still get to eat, breath, sleep and live for decades after they've stolen those rights from their victims.

Reminds me how lucky I am to be alive. I was 3yrs in 1946. I lived next to a cemetery and played in it every day. A man in black arrived and asked me to play with him. I was so lucky I lived with my grandfather. He was bed ridden so taught me a lot. I could feel danger with that man and asked him if I could run and get my doll. He said yes. I ran home. I never told grandad as I thought he would stop me playing in the church yard. How easily I could have ended up like this lovely little gir. Bless her. l.

@@FacesoftheForgotten I LOVE what you do, and how you do it! I sent you a message on another of your Video's. There are several "Unsolved Murders" of innocent Young People in the little dinky town of Laurel, In. (Where I live.) They happened in the 70' or 80's. The names are Jason Dale Bolton (tortured and murdered at 15 yr's old, and Denise Pflum a young teenaged Girl. These were totally separate cases.) The Perp's who did the Crimes have never been really identified or charged. I think their Cemeteries are in either Laurel, In., or possibly Connersville, In. These murders happened in the same little Town (Laurel) as what was deemed the "Worst Murders" that ever happened in Laurel, In....when David Ison killed 5 People over a "drug related" deal gone bad. It happened up on Stipps Hill Rd., and they actually made a Movie about it, called "When Murder Comes To Town." I think it is on the I.D. Channel. (Of course the Movie wasn't EXACTLY the way everything really happened.) But anyway...I knew most of the People involved. Those murders happened probably about 10 years ago, I believe. :(

This little girl was so close to justice you could taste it. So sad that it never came. What happened to her is every parent's nightmare. My Mom used to tell me the story of when my twin and I were 4 years old. We were in the living room playing when she went to check on us. She saw the window was open, and we were gone. My mom said she called the police and when they asked for pictures of us, her heart sank feeling like we were dead. The police found us at Waters Park playing in the sandbox. My mom was never so happy to see us. This poor mom had to have nightmares for years. RIP Maria, in God's care forever more.

Thanks for the walk through the woods. I've been to the other locations, but not the woods. By the way, "Brundi" is actually "Brudi", and Don Brudi still remains a suspect, at least in my book. "Hi, my name is Donnie". In 1957 the field was a hayfield surrounded by a fence with a gate. No way anyone would have randomly picked that location to dump the body unless they knew about it in advance, especially if it happened at night. It had to have been someone who lived near there. Haven't found any connection between Brudi and Sycamore, however.

It's really a sad and shocking case about the kidnapping and murder of a 7 year old little girl. Her case remains unsolved once again and no justice. Her parents are buried beside Maria's grave. A young child taken from this world by someone evil. People who harm and kill children will face judgement at the end. I just hope the evil man who kidnapped and killed this young child will face their judgement when they die.

Hey I saw that video you had on Mount Olivet cemetery. Good one. I’m going to go there sometime - it’s on my list. I want to go to Terrence Drugan‘s grave, big Irish mobster. www.findagrave.com/memorial/76416363/terrence-joseph-drugan. I became interested in him because I saw he was the central target of the “Fox Lake Massacre”, where his bodyguard Sam Pellar, along with others were killed by 2 Genna hit men in a drive-by tommy gun hit job. theirishmob.com/the-fox-lake-massacre/ Terry had a mansion on Lake Zürich, just miles away from where I live. I am going to go find that place!

Think everyone made this case look very difficult. The killer grabbed her, put her in the trunk of the car, realized that there was a witness, drove to Rockford, made an alibi call, went to his girl friends house (with Maria in the trunk), proceeded to the dump site where he killed her. We know his mother and father lied about his being home, the description nailed him, Maria friend was shown his picture over 50 years later and identified him (she was not shown his picture in 1957), why?), unless he has doppelgänger somewhere he looks good for the crime. What makes it sooo special is his getting $300,000 for false imprisonment. You gotta like the audacity!

A mother’s confession should be considered a strong evidence. She was wise to expose her son on her deathbed because the legal system would have arrived at the same decision and that mother would be in hot water with her son. I believe Maria knew John, probably lived few houses away.

This story is sad on so many levels. First of all, I can't imagine how any sane parent would knowingly cover for their son, knowing that he very likely took the life of an innocent child. I also feel bad for the little friend, who has probably suffered lifelong guilt over her friend's abduction, wondering if there was something different that she could have done, that might helped to save Maria. It obviously wasn't her fault, but I imagine she just felt terrible about it afterwards. And Maria probably experienced sheer terror at the hands of a pedophile, being possibly raped before she was killed, and her body dumped in an isolated area like a garbage bag. The fact that this happened so close to Christmas time makes it even sadder, and the two little girls were no doubt excited about the upcoming holidays. So far, there has been no real justice on this earth for poor little Maria, but God knows, and He won't allow the murderer to go unscathed!

Thank you for bringing this little girls story to the light where it needs to be! First of all...It does not take a rocket scientist nor a psychic to be able to realize who was the guilty party here!! Heck He even told the girls his real name!! He knew how to gain the girls trust..he had sisters and knew what little girls liked! Where is the link for the interrogation of John?

This is exactly the type of misinformation that results in innocent people being convicted of crimes they did not commit. He could not have killed her. His parents didn't lie. The prosecutor hid evidence that later exonerated him. He made a collect call to his parents from 30 miles away at the time of the abduction. The photo the witness identified as him stood out like a sore thumb. The sister that kept trying to get him prosecuted hated him. "Sounding guilty" is not evidence of guilt. He sued the police and others involved in getting him convicted and they paid settlements.

It's so hard to believe some parents will cover for their evil children no matter at what cost. Makes me think it's more about the shame "them as parents don't want to go through...

Horrendous that a mother hid her murdering son from another mother. Denying her for years any closure and allowing the child to rot unfound. I can't get my head around that.

So innocent, she was this little thinking no doubt this monster who she was just wanting piggy back and to see her doll, couldn't see what this man was, she probably thought of him as a play mate. Just so sad. I think all of us now warn our children to stay away from strangers. Well this story here is why! This monster has to face Hell. I hope he suffers a lot. This little girl had a whole life ahead, and he took that away. Boogie man's getting him. As always. Pj. 💖💖💖

I’ll forever think John Tessier did this. His own sister said he’s a predator and he always had bizarre relationships with women. It’s highly aggravating his defense attorneys were successful in perpetuating the lie that he’s the victim.

Anyone that exploits a child’s innocence should be put to death. I would never cover such a horrible crime committed against a child, I don’t care if it’s my child, my spouse, parent etc. I will not lie for anyone!
