If the state governments do take actions like making sure dams are strong then no money should go to the state when the dam fails like in NC this past year. Total incompetence in California, which has led to such a massive fire destroying so much. Why was the fire dept budget cut? Why were the aquifiers empty and not being used? Why wasn't the dry brush burnt off as they do in Australia? Were there any fire breaks created or maintained? These fires could have been prevented. More money should be going to fire and forest management and less money going to social programs. There's a reason why California is becoming a mess, why it's residents are leaving for other states and it's got to do with total incompetence and mismanagement of the state of California.
