When I studied at the music academy in Jerusalem, the Foreign Minister's villa was right next door. Twice I saw Abba Eban outside his home - on the balcony and stepping to the sidewalk to meet a visitor. That was a thrill!

@@EL-oj6uq Arabic has been a language of the region for centuries. Israeli Hebrew was invented in the 19th century and transplanted at the expense of the natives and the coming migrants.

israel should never have given back sharm el sheikh to egypt. For the average egyptian sharm was/is totally and utterly meaningless. For israel it would have given security over the straits if tiran. Now israel needs to rely on arab whims and caprice - at any moment a radical islamic government could takeover egypt and it would be chaos all over again
