Hey Abbey, love your sobriety content and your beauty product insight! ❤From my perspective as a licensed esthetician, regarding the eye irritation, using solely a mineral sunscreen around the eyes may be a solution for you. Just apply it to the orbital bone 360, let it sit, then blend it in. It should stay better in place and help with the issue of it running into your eyes and causing irritation. This has helped a lot of people who deal with this issue. There are sunscreens made specifically for the eye area as well, but an inexpensive spf 30 zinc oxide 100% mineral sunscreen should do the job.💖

I think once you don’t have mouth pain everything will get better and fall into place. I remember when I needed some dental work done and I was in a lot of pain. Everything seem to go wrong. Finally when I was able to get it fixed I started to feel better and my life was getting better. I feel like mouth pain is the worst and it just throws you for a loop. Sending prayers and good vibes your way.

Been in long term recovery myself for over a decade, I’m now an addiction counselor and I love it❤❤❤❤I wonder what your thoughts are on the following ideas: The opposite of addiction is not recovery, the opposite of addiction is CONNECTION. Based on what I’m hearing you talk about halfway through, seems like you agree and know this to be true for yourself as well, that makes me so happy! As recovering addicts we don’t have to go to nonstop meetings BUT we do have to build a solid sober support system that we practice going to regularly! I love that you preach this!!! It’s okay to put toner on like that girly it’s honestly more gentle then using a cotton pad, p.s. your a big inspiration to me girly I know your going through it right now but I feel like you know you can do anything ❤️❤️also I recommend the Paula’s choice youthful moisturizing sunscreen spa 50 it’s the best in my opinion and doesn’t burn my eyes personally

Trying to get sober here and really connecting with your skincare. I’ve been sober before (alcohol) and I know my skin can get so good if I stop!! Did you have any issues like this? Weight gain wrinkles bad skin etc? It’s the water in the toner that makes any serum and even moisturizer travel further into layers of the stratum corneum ( outer layer of skin). If your toners first ingredient isn’t water you need to add a small amount of water after toner has dried! I’m an esty/ medical pro !

As a single mom and recovering addict I wanted to send you a hug and love. I am 49 and my son is 18.5 and just graduated high school two weeks ago. I did not do AA or anything like that. It just wasn't for me. But I do get needing that sober community that understands in a way that others don't. I also get needing mom friends. I teach online. I am a history and English teacher and then I teach knitting and crochet on the side. I teach online exclusively. It gets lonely. I have an advantage as I do get to talk to students all the time. But it is still lonely without other adults. I wish I lived near you so we could hang out or get coffee or just be there for each other. But you got this Abbey. You are strong, smart, loving, and capable.

You needing to plan to wash your hair is what I’ve had to do my whole life. I have thick curly hair but I get the Brazilian religiously to beat the frizz. I also straighten it so between air dry & straightening it’s a do! 😂 Also…I feel ya on the lashes. I went to a lash chain in murrysville and it was a rip off!!! I use lashify now and I love it!!! ❤ AGREED on the buying the stuff creators buy….it is impossible to keep up and at the end of the day if it’s not going to benefit your health (if you’re just feeding your ego) it’s usually not a good idea. Look around at everything you do have and be grateful. Most of the products aren’t great anyhow. So don’t be down and depressed!! ❤❤❤

Also for hair extensions I think they sell some that u can wear as a headband and blends right in with your hair incase if the sides ever bother you. I use the avene sunscreen and I work outside and it doesn't sting my eyes but gives me a nice glow! Idk if I've just been lucky to not get it in my eyes but ik my elta md stings so idk maybe try the avene one lol. But also I hope things start to turn around and get better!
