Word to the wise, you can hover your mouse over the Timeline panel and hit the tilde key "~" to expand the panel full-screen. This will make it easier to do the parenting, as you won't have to scroll as much.

im still not getting the parenting correct its literally off my face of the puppet pin thats parented with the light eyebrow inner

I would say there must be now or upcomming few month a script to "s implify the rig.

I follow all the steps but when I begin attaching my pins to the tracking, my overlay face stretches out to the left. In other words, the face I want to put over my real face goes completely off. Aggravating!!

Make sure you precompose the face layer and select "move all the attributes to the new composition." Hope this helps.

I did. I followed every step exactly. One other thing. In this video and your Avatar one, you go from the nostrils to the mouth, THEN the left cheek, right cheek and chin, but the list you provide in this video goes from right nostril to left cheek. I've tried both ways as well, still getting the same odd result. EDIT: I switched the low quality clip I grabbed from youtube and used the clip I shot. It doesn't freak out anymore, but the results are still less than desirable. I'm going to assume I need two higher quality clips. But that problem with your list remains. Surprised no one else mentioned it yet. One other question. Where did you get the keyed out avatar image? I'm having a hell of a time coming up with the right phrase to google.

The issues you are/were having may be the quality - like you said. Also, thanks for letting me know about the mistake on the list. I added an annotation to the video fixing the error. As for the avatar mask from the other video: I think you should not try to find the same exact png image since I can't even find the one I used on google anymore. Find another image or make one. You could probably make something in photoshop for the face. Be creative and add your own spin on the effect! Thanks for your comment! :)

I face a serious issue when I try to parent the spots of puppet pin tool with the face track points ..In the finish of parenting the replaced face it is not in the place that suppose to be ,but sometimes it's very down at my screen , or elsewhere, but not in the right place ! I did it once not perfect but very nice result ,but I don't know what is going on now... any advise , or a little help ?

red eagles It sounds like maybe the main comp and precomp are different sizes. Make sure they are the same dimensions (you must select "move all attributes" when precomping).

Hello. I've got this problem with connecting the puppet dots and the tracking dots as AE keeps moving and deform the face like in this screenshot s29.postimg.org/g0b1g81k7/Screenshot_83.png. Initially I thought it was because the footage and the photo composition size don't match. After correcting them, the problem is still unsolved. Can you explain why? Many thanks!
