Hello all, coming from California here. Ajahn Brahm I just wanted to thank you and send love your way. You are the one that saved me and sparked my spiritual journey. You really brought light into my dark world and since then it been glowing more and more. My neighbors are from Thailand and know of the teachings of Ajahn Chah. I also have found insight mediation center a few miles down the road from me that teaches mindful mediation with the teachings of Ajahn Chah. Thank you for everything! 🤗💙

Where is the meditation center? San Jose?
@DivideByeZer07 жыл бұрын
The mediation center I was speaking about is in Modesto, CA. There are many centers in the Bay Area, like Jason said. I would just do a Google search and I'm sure some will pop up near you. Spirit Rock is somewhere I'd like to visit. That's an organization Jack Kornfield and Sharon Salzberg are apart of right? Need to take a trip out there.

I have listened to Ajahn Brahm for years and I love that he repeats some lessons, that was I can remember to remember them. Today I was reminded: This too shall pass and remember the mango tree we are growing and what we are growing it with. Which helps me shift my perspective to face a big phone call that I'm anxious about. Could be good, could be bad nonetheless this too shall pass and if it's tough I need to add the experience to my tree. Thank you for reminding me Ajahn Brahm 💙

Welcome back Ajahn Brahm! The live streaming had a wonderful 30 minute meditation, and now it is not accessible. These meditations are sooo special and at he heart of Ajahn Brahm's teaching. Could whoever posts the Friday night Dhamma talks please either keep the meditations in, or post them separately? Thank you so much.

Mike - then Ajahn when he asks for people to smile after meditation or to come closer or asking to not take photographs or asking people to not send him medication when he coughs would be dukka. Be careful not to go too far, else that is not the middle way. With metta.

I also started attending 12 step programs (AA or NA MEETINGS ) Little by little my life is in proveing. I live in the USA. EMAIL me

I know getting angry and upset doesn’t really do anything. But why do we still do it? Why do I still get angry? Is it because I want to. Why can’t I stop getting angry? ! Is it because I’m too STRICT ? (I’m very hard on myself ... usually never allow myself to make mistakes.) And I think this attitude transfers over to others.
@SingeSabre3 жыл бұрын
Haha, I know this is 3 years old but are you still angry? I find myself still getting angry after all these years and it almost always stems from desire. Desire to change things or people. Not being able or willing to accept things as they are.
@lordbyron36033 жыл бұрын
@@SingeSabre You hit the nail on the head! It was my “Desire to change things or people!” I’ve learned that it’s more important to change myself than things or people. I’m thankful ! And no, I’m not as angry as I used to be. Or if I do get angry, it doesn’t stick around. I’m also learning how to “accept” things as they are.

Jeanne Doujon a very densely pop ed poor part of the world with a complex geo political history.The Thais dont dig on Indian types regardless of religion either.Perhaps you could invite all the Rohynga to France and let them pray in the middle of the public road,oh and give them free money too,you know have more kids get more money.
