Hi Maddie, I used to produce and direct and host cable television shows, a sit com and bi linqual documentaries on wild life. I owned my own small production company. The difference between what I did and what people like you do is, 1. I had crews and groups of people that I was accountable to and 2. I was a trained professional and my personal life and my personal details were not part of the show. There is this narcissm connected with you you tubers. If you have any success it goes to your heads and erroneously you think your life is of importance to your "fans". You reveal too much about yourself which puts your life, your privacy and even your finances at risk to anyone who wants to exploit you. If you disappeared off you tube completely...not many people would give it a second thought. If I was you, I would seriously consider closing down this channel completely and starting out on a new path. None of these shows are very memorable and you are giving up your very life for a few coins and your fifteen minutes of fame. I am 74 years old and I think you made a big mistake deciding not to have children with the love of your life. As time goes by, you may not have that choice again. Before it is too late, if I were you, I would go home, get a job using your language skills (like court interpreter) find a great guy, fall in love and have a beautiful baby. Just my opinion. You tube is destined to fall apart sooner or later...everything does, and then what will you be left with just a bunch of footage of misplaced youth and opportunity.

I just should have returned to Disney but I started my own business (webhosting and design), and I'm lucky it will allow me to become a digital nomad hopefully next year sometime. @@charwest9449 I can admit when I failed at something and that it wasn't meant for me because I am not made for it. I have no need to warp it and be like "it's a part of the bigger picture." I have had many accomplishments in my life because I persisted, but also many failures that I moved away from to save time for tasks I am actually suited for. I am also an American woman (about your age) living in Mexico, although my circumstances are quite different as I am married to a Mexican man. Mexico is an extremely patriarchal culture, and as much as I love it here, it is very difficult to live here as a single women without the support of having a Mexican family. Even though it wouldn’t be impossible to stay, sometimes its prudent not to select the MOST challenging path in life. There is a whole wide world out there and I am big believer that one of the things that makes Mexico so special is the high value the culture places on family. So, in my opinion, one of the best thing you can do is learn from this beloved Mexican culture and go back to your family. Unfortunately, some people don’t learn the true value of family until it’s too late. Bless ❤

I think I speak for your audience collectively that we can't wait to see what you do next. We are in awe of everything that you've accomplished, In short, you're a fucking badass. Lastly, speaking as a first generation American with Mexican parents, THANK YOU for shining a light on the country that is Mexico and sharing it's beauty on your channel. You have shown the English-speaking part of the internet that while Mexicans may look, eat, and live differently, that you don't have to scared of the unknown. One of my favorite old-school episodes was when you were in Taxco - my mom grew up in a puebilito right next to it! I loved how you went to eat pozole in someone's restaurant that was really their home. I thought, that was the coolest thing - shining a light in this remote area that has probably never gotten that kind of exposure before. Thank you for subliminally inspiring us to visit Mexico and the rest of the world around us. Best of luck to you and I hope you enjoy spending more time with your family. 😥 Maddie so sorry to hear about your distress, but it sounds like you've really got it together and your plan to move back to the US is just what you need right now. Please keep in mind, most of us tune to your channel to see how and what you're doing and that won't change if you're in a different location. Good luck to you! 🍀

Love your content and what you provide. You focus on you. We will be fine with whatever you are able to produce for us. And exactly like you mentioned in the end. Spread out and explore more of the world, you adapt well in different cultures and will learn so much about yourself and the world. Just be sure and keep yourself happy. That is all that really matters :)

I am proud of you girl. I have been following your travels since you and your ex moved to Mexico as expats, and I'm with you. It's time to be with your family, your circle of people back home that will help you get to the next point in your life. I know you will shine even brighter! Thank you for giving us all, your dedicated time and energy. I have learned so much from your travels and I am really looking forward to see what's in store next for you. If I were in your shoes, I would absolutely do the same thing. Super big hugs, and lots of love. You've got this! Lastly, I'm sending prayers for your father that God Almighty will wrap his loving arms around him, you, and your sweet family during this difficult time. I pray that God will heal your dad 🙏❤ If you ever need a shoulder, WE ARE ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU, just the same as you were here for all of us throughout the years. God Bless you!

I was so afraid you’d say you would close up shop 😮 but I’m glad to hear you’re just moving onto the next chapter in your series of adventures. Certainly not something I would ever consider a failure. I think you’ve done quite alright for yourself (despite and perhaps because of all the adversity) - at least it seems that way through the perspective you give us on this channel. Here’s to wishing you well as you explore the next chapters in your life 🎉

As you have acknowledged, you don't post too often these days. Your initial channel ( TTs) was locale based and was excellent content and I used to dream about the sites shown to see in person. Your channel now is more introspective but certainly no less compelling. Thank you for sharing as much as you are comfortable disclosing . Keep letting your inner voice guide you!

I gotta say you look relieved and at peace with your decision. Somehow I think it’s the best thing to do in my opinion. Although you love Mexico your roots and your loved ones are here in the states. You could start exploring different travel destinations in the US. There’s so much to see here too. Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Alaska for example. Take a small break and take care. You’ve been through alot. Also, you might want to find a travel companion.

Maddie...I'm 74 and have been watch your channel and your previous channel. I have always admired your courage. I agree with those who said people are on your channel because of you not because of where you are. You could do a KZbin channel in Phoenix, Philadelphia, Mexico, Vegas. Or where ever you want to be. Don't let the things that come at you in life derail you from being happy and moving forward. Life is never smooth all the way. The journey has bumpy roads that you will travel. Maneuver over them the best way you can and just move forward. Know that you have a lot of followers who cheer you on and understand that life can be hard at times. Some people on youtube want to make it seem like there's never a problem. We all know that's not true. Keep doing what you're doing. I am a fan!

Over the past two years I have come to realize that you are the reason I started watching tangerine travels. You are pretty much a modern self made star of your own show and to that I say thank you. Why thank you? In some of my spare time or toughest of times I find your content to be a sense of comfor. Your aura really shines bright like a diamond. I look foward to seeing where life takes you. Maybe I can learn cool things about my neighbor state Arizona. (I am a Cali girl) I wish your father a speedy recovery after his heart surgery . Wishing you the best as well.
