Nice vid. I definitely would need a draft guard at the doors to keep the scorpions out. Living in Minnesota has its advantages in that regard. You've made me want to pick up a plant tomorrow when I go out. Like that you show the prices of things like food and car rides.

My favorite part in this video was when you twirled around and your clothes were changed. I wish I had known about this when you were a baby... It would’ve made changing your diaper so much easier!

I think you made a wise choice leaving the United States. I am hoping to leave soon. It’s a wrap for our country. I will take the blaring car alarms in Mexico any day over the blaring political hate and division on both sides of the isle in our country😢but I wish you well on your home coming. My son is moving to Arizona this month for work and school. Hoping he will enjoy it.

Lots of life growing in that apartment…enough plants to give to all of your friends to have a bit of Maddie to remember! It’s really a testament to how you’ve rebuilt your life into something beautiful over the last couple of years. May there be more pothos and more growth as you head back to the states. All the best to your dad in his surgery, too, and loving his wholesome and funny presence in the comments.

I spent 15 years living in Mexico (21-36) It's hard to stay and even harder to stay away. I actually saw you on the street once in my neighborhood when I was back for a 6 months visit near Arcos Vallarta. You're an inspiration. And Mexico will always keep running through your veins. All your favorite places will call you back and itll feel like home again. No matter what for me Mexico is home even if Im somewhere else for awhile too....

I’m sure a million people will tell you that the only way you could lose residency now is if you inadvertantly re-enter Mexico as a tourist (which can happen if you use the automatic gates!).

@@user-ms6rm1fc9xU are given a residence card when u go through the residence process. If you reenter, you have to use the residence card if you want to continue with residency. Hey Maddie, have you ever thought about doing the auxiliar de conversación program in Spain? If you’ve not heard of it, you basically teach conversational English to students in Spain and get paid between 700-1000 euros a month. With your Spanish skills and curiosity I think you’d have a great time there while showing us your experiences there. I did the program 10 years ago and it was amazing.

Maddie, I love plants too. When you will be settled somewhere for a while and can take care of plants again, I have a couple of favorites to recommend that are extremely easy to propagate if you want more little ones: The rubber plant and the Christmas cactus. So easy to root in soil from cuttings! Christmas cactus in particular thrive if they can get some Sun on them every day, but can survive very well in low light too. And like most plants, they do not need a lot of watering. 3-4 weeks if in a good soil mix.

Infants, toddlers, and young children NEED their grandparents. Their brains are in critical stages of neurodevelopment, so they NEED...not want...NEED a lot of safe, nurturing, family members around them to help support the parents and provide a safety net. Again, this is a NEED...not a want. Once they start school, their neurodevelopment will be further along, and teachers and schoolmates can (not always, but hopefully) fill in and make the grandparents less necessary. If you have any shred of conscience and are capable of caring about others, versus being self-absorbed, you care about a child's early years of neurodevelopment, even when that child is not yours. Again, this is about NEED...not want...but genuine need. Your wife is probably an empathic, decent human being. It's unfortunate not everyone is. Self-absorption is such an unattractive character trait, showing a weakness in character. Hopefully, you're not one of those self-absorbed people who can't wait 4-5 years to live there.
