I've been living in New York City for over 7 years now, and I reached a point where I don't push myself out of my comfort zone enough. It's time for some personal growth. In this video I book a last minute trip to spend a night in the woods and face some of my fears/convincing myself to do it for the plot lol. However, this is very much a 'glamping' situation. Yes, I'm technically in the woods but I am in no ways "roughing it" 😂 Let me know if you like these kinds of videos getting out the city to explore more of the state. New York has so much more to offer than just NYC. Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy! 💘

In the woods, alone, that's where it's at. Mornings with coffee, the woods and yourself. For real, it's my favorite thing. You should defiantly do more of this. Not for us, but for you. It awakens something you didn't know was there.

hi! A silent viewer from Poland here :) I clicked the like button straight after the intro and the captions that nothing crazy actually happens, it made me laugh and I thought how creative you are. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate what you do and that you decided to share your life with strangers from the interwebs :) You need to know that viewers do actually see how much effort you put into your videos. Anyway, I'm just starting my work week and I'm already smiling thanks to you, Chelsea :) have a good one!

The day trip was fun. For future if you want to start a fire, you can find drier kindling (twinge, branches, leaves) nearer drier spots under big trees. Then with your fire starter start it in that little kindling and then start to add the shavings or loose pieces from the dry wood. Then put it under the big logs once you have it started. Just some advice totally don’t have to use it. So proud of you for pushing out of your comfort zone!

Love this tiny house, the light in there is everything! Even the screaming toilet is tolerable 😂 I’ve become obsessed with tiny homes & find myself watching tiny house nation, tiny house hunters & others quite a bit. At the end of the day we really don’t need much. Somewhere to sleep, to prepare, to shower/do our business and shelter from the weather. I am a city person, who dreams of someday having a piece of land where I can put a tiny house and also get Amazon deliveries and have Internet access. I don’t think I would need much more. Thanks for another great video Chelsea!

So enjoyed this video! It’s great to get out of your comfort zone from time to time and this Airbnb-in-the-woods adventure was cool. Bummer about the firewood being too damp for the fire pit but you seemed really content there. Here’s to more little (or big) adventures in the future. Have a great week! 😊

So sorry about your tooth! I had an extraction in September of 2022 - they had to add bone powder into the cavity where the implant was going to go so that good bone would grow around it. It was supposed to take 3 months and mine took 6! I did take extra calcium and D3 to help the process. Got the implant and then that took some time to heal up and the bone to grow around it. Then the prep, etc etc. All in all my process was 14 months; I do feel confident that I got the best service I could have gotten, rather than hurry up and get it done. It is no fun to have an implant fail, from what others have told me. I was able to utilize CareCredit, which was very helpful to help pay the costs not covered by my insurance, as the charges are made as each process is completed.

Build a standing triangle with small pieces of wood, put twigs and pine needles, pine cones, paper inside the base of the triangle. Bark is also a good fire starter. Once the triangle catches fire gradually add bigger pieces of wood.

Lighter fluid will get it to catch, and the lighter stuff will help warm up and dry the bigger logs. They'll then catch and steam themselves.

“I love this aloneness. I love being my own best friend. I know my capacity to love is alive. So why not pour that into me for now.” This sums up the last year and a half of my life living in NYC. I had to learn how to truly love my aloneness because i moved alone and no one tells you how hard it is. It’s still a work in progress, but i’ve learned so much about myself and how i show up for others but also for me. I spent a couple days last summer in a tiny house. There’s something about the silence that is magical. Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

YES I love this!! Yes, you (all of us) have more love to give than we think! The fact you love being your own best friend is HUGE! Your trip out of the city is sooooo inspiring to so many of us including me, very empowering to women of all ages. I'd love to see more videos of you getting out of the city (I'm a hiking & camping girl), or really any kind of adventure you get up to. Facing fears and "just doing it" definitely resonates with me as I'm in a similar situation, except in a new job/career - turning over a new leaf and just being myself. Thank you for the inspiration!💙

Loved seeing your thought process on the drive and how you nearly just didn't do it because of the drive. I love this. This year is also my year of doing things that scare me! Your videos have gotten calmer, but as someone going through a very similar transition, I resonate with the calm energy that you're exuding now. Your point about not waiting until everything is perfect is so spot on. I got a bunch of "the things": a wonderful husband, great house, my dream job and thought that was what it was about. But then the "checklist checking" stopped there. We faced infertility and may never be able to have bio children and my job was so stressful I had a cloud of anxiety following me always until I finally just decided to all out leave. I think you have your best growth when you accept that life isn't a checklist and that the joy is in the journey. I am so happy now even though I don't have and never will have "all the things" because that's not actually what it's about. PS. If you ever need dry wood again and you're upstate, pretty much every Stewart's shop will have kiln dried wood. It's not the cheapest, but it'll light right up!

Congrats on driving in that city! I use to have a job where I’d travel to various cities like Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City, Pittsburg, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and I was 23 and had a company credit card for car rentals. So stressful at first but then I’d feel so much independence and accomplishment navigating (by MAP! No navigation yet in cars!). So good on you! I’m relieved you had a safe night and NOT in a tent all alone! All your videos are enjoyable to me so whatever you offer I will watch! All the best with your journey to getting an implant!
