Oh, i have heared them over 20 years ago... at a friend from a very christian family... who was in USA a year before. With my german goth friends and at the german disco i cant remember that i have ever heared them. Interesing choise for this episode.

I have a similar experience in terms of my early days in the goth scene and the band Collide. Both electronic industrial and ethereal grabbed hold of my attention at that time. I loved dancing to both! It took me a few years actually to work into the more guitar-based, rock and punk sounds that originated the goth scene. So, Collide's Beneath the Skin album came into my collection in those early days when I was beginning my exploration into goth and industrial music. I'm sure I found it through a short description in a mail order catalog that described it as a blend of the two things I liked the most at the time. The bands Dust of Basement and Regenerator also had those strong, aggressive industrial beats with amazing female vocals. The album Beneath the Skin was very good, it was what I had hoped it would be. Chasing the Ghost and Some Kind of Strange was not as magical for me. I lost track of their releases after that. I do have a kaRIN story; just a brief meeting. In the late '90s I was at a club called Helter Skelter in LA doing my swirly thing on the dancefloor. A woman approached me to compliment my dancing. I recognized her, and asked if she was kaRIN from Collide. She confirmed and then I went on to gush about how much I liked the album she and Statik put together. It was a nice, brief meeting. She made my day with her compliment, and she looked impressed that I knew who she was and that I enjoyed her work.
