Dude, I’ve been sewing for years, and a thing you don’t realize is that those cushions will become thinner over time. They will also become a little bit less comfortable in that way as well. The fact that you started out a little extra thick will only help you in the long run.

You might also enjoy his previous channel, "Max & Lee" where he, his ex-girlfriend & Occy, traveled from Canada to South America. However, they started their channel in Mexico so they only captured Mexico to Argentina I believe if I remember correctly. I don't often comment on videos but really love your channel. This may seem silly, but I really want to thank you for showing the reality of living off of only two electric outlets. It really helped me feel less alone in my extension cord filled house. I've been living like this the past year and while it is comical much of the time and gets the job done, it's also inconvenient and a reminded of how abnormal my life is at the moment. I purchased a semi off grid small cabin to turn into my home around the same time that you got your property. I also have an older large dog as well :) and had a lot of shit hit the fan as far as unforeseen issues with the house as well. It has been really nice watching your channel and feeling a bit like I'm not alone in this, especially on all the messy chaotic challenges that come up. And it's inspiring to see you work within a budget and find ways to still get the "bougie" touches over time. It helps me keep up hope that while I am on a super slow timeline due to a tiny budget because I am disabled by my mental health struggles, it doesn't mean that in time the good things won't happen. It'll get there and all the elbow grease helps in the long run. I appreciate your tenacity, your values, and the honor you bring to what you do. You're a really good person Max and that shines through in your videos. You bring such a loving honorable presence to youtube and I really appreciate that about you and your content. Thank you for helping me feel less alone in all the struggles that come up and the oddities we live with to get by until we can get them right in due time.

So glad you decided to create a banquette WITH STORAGE. I did one in my kitchen and not only is it invaluable storage space, but the banquette means as many people can sit on it as are comfortable sitting beside one another, unlike a chair. The only think I have left to do for mine is sew the fabric cushion covers. Wish I could show you a pic, but I LOVE having it and you (and your guests) will too! Love seeing the progress and Occy!

I hope you take comfort that you DID make your home more homey in time for the monsoon season so that you and Occy didn't have be stircrazy with ONLY the van's space to putter around in. It's great seeing how you've given Occy the wonderful reward for his golden years of a permanent home- after he'd spent his entire life faithfully and patiently being the best 'van dog' possible! I really like how the seating nook turned out. The dark green fabric against the white is amazing. And the rebuilt kitchen storage was brilliant! The person that helped us build our natural material, reclaimed timber ‘one pointed trapeze-playroom’ for my child care helped an 80 year old woman build a circular home, insulating it with ‘clay slurry drizzled on straw that was smashed down between plywood forms framed with rescued barn timbers’. An old building method borrowed from Germany. I have no idea what materials would be used in a rainforest but I bet a little research would bring you ‘bloody good’ results!Good luck on your future build❤

PLEASE, PLEASE take Occy to the Vet. He is panting all the time and that is not a good sign. Also, when My Max started to age he stopped jumping up on the bed, couch, etc and the vet told me that when they age dogs start having spine problems (just like us) and it becomes painful to jump up on things. So we made him steps for the couch, bed, etc, and it made it so much easier on him and he could still curl up on the bed with us instead of the hard floor. Sadly, I lost My Max last June and I miss him and his cuddles so much. Great job on the bench. Your house is looking so great. 👍 Happy Easter!

I understand your concern as panting can be a sign of pain but they are living in a really humid place and after the rain it's even more humid. If anything I'd take Occy to a groomers and have him shaved during the more uncomfortable months.

Future indoor vs outdoor renovation vlogs: I like the variety of both, but if I had to choose just one, I would actually prefer seeing indoor renovations. I would say just do whatever project your heart is feeling next, subject to weather constraints. A place like that will always have projects and I am here for them, whatever they are.
