One of the benefits of doing things like collecting the old, burned pipes now instead of right after the fire is that the ash has been washed off of them and you are not busy breathing it. It is wonderful to see you healed and healthy, Bee.

Hi guys! I love your property and trees, they are so gorgeous! The dead peach trees are just natures cycle. There is a place here, called a pine bush area which was a bed of a river, and they light fires there. I’m not exactly sure why, but apparently it helps the environment. There will always be natural hazards, and manmade as well. Hopefully nature will allow you to renew your trees. ❤️. I liked hearing about the tools and apparel, those are important considerations. I remember a commercial Theo did one time about a male grooming tool, and I thought it would be useful for my 21 yo who isn’t the best at the grooming thing, but I thought it was hysterical too! Theo cracks me up!

Peach trees are one of the shortest lived fruit trees and commercially are usually replanted every 8-12 years anyway so as tragic as the fire was, your peach tree loss is kinda minor. How lovely your land is, and what good stewards you are! ❤

Love watching you guys. Got hooked when you visited the US in your van. Regarding the trees...The chances of those not being grafted is slim to nil. The suckers coming off the root stock will not produce good fruit. You are best to start fresh. The commercial life of a fruit tree is generally 20 to 40 years depending on the variety so that's another good reason to start with fresh trees.

So much fun watching the tractor push over the dead tree trunks. Always watching you both working away brings back memories of working on my little farm. I put ponds in too. But didn't need dam walls just big holes in the ground. Though they did require a circulation system to keep them healthy. They so changed the ecosystem around them that I could finally get an orchard and native garden growing. Thank you for your videos . Time to get to work myself. I have heaps of prunings to clear up and the forecast has changed from clearing showers to thunderstorms and possible hail. I have hired a trailer so wet weather gear here I come. Cheers.

Bee, you're giving me flashbacks. When I was a lad, I grew up on my father's orchard. Every spring he would prune the trees. My job was to follow behind, picking up all the branches. Usually, this was the first thing we did when the weather got the least bit warm. All that bending over after a long winter always killed my back for a week.

If I didn't have the two of you, I don't know if I would have made it through Covid.

Hey Bea, I have one of those apple peeler contraptions that you’re talking about. I’m pretty sure that KitchenAide has an Apple/ veggie peeler attachment that works with the mixer. If you already have the mixer it’s great. If you don’t have one yet, then it’s the perfect excuse to purchase one at Costco 🙂 and collect the various attachments as you need or want them. Thanks for sharing your wonderful life with all of us!

Don’t keep apologizing for having a bad time mentally the important thing is you kept going and made it through the other side. You have plenty of time to pick up burn out trees/pipes/whatever else is there. I enjoy watching you work because it’s better than me working. L O L I just like watching you take a property that because of the fire and floods was devastated and bring it back to its former glory. I know the works hard on you but us viewers love watching it.

Watching you doing so much walking, out to the animals, getting to some other chores, or following Theo rather than hitch a ride on the tractor, and I know that walking is very healthy, but I wonder if you ever considered an electric scooter or bike or golf cart that you could jump on in a flash to follow Theo out to the lake or the cabin. In an emergency it would be a quick solution if either one needed to get to the other one of you. You guys work so well together as team, but I sometimes worry that if one needed the other in a hurry, it would take more than a minute to fire up one of your other vehicles. I always enjoy watching your progress and you guys can be very proud of your successes so far. Well done!
