I feel the Chinese food thing on a spiritual level. One of the restaurants near my place will give you a full takeout box of lo mein for like $7, and a buffet plate for $6. They don't charge by weight. If the box closes, you can take it. It is AWESOME.

As a Texan, i always go with a chopped brisket sandwich (always ask for the moist cut) piled high with grilled onions and pickles drenched in a hickory sweet barbeque sauce which sits betwixt two buttered sourdough buns that were toasted to perfection. (the toasting of the buns is crucial, as it allows the bread to better absorb the homogeneous mixture of meat juice and coagulated bbq sauce, and as a result keeps the sandwich structurally sound) Couple that with a large helping of mac & cheese and a Doctor Pepper, and we've got ourselves the perfect Friday night feast!

At 8:34 when you mentioned the square pizzas I remembered about a place called lito's pizza, which was in the Maryland area. They were square, because they "don't cut corners". Those things were so greasy...

Back in high school, I regularly ordered from a fried chicken stand in school. There was an item there that ground meat cooked in a gravy like sauce served with rice. I asked how much is the big serving of fries and it turned out to be the same as the rice, so I asked to swap the rice with fries and then have two pieces of chicken with it. In less than a week, that stand placed it on the menu because people kept ordering it. It has endured till now. One a related note, my comfort food is instant noodles. The dry kind, not the soup. It's just so versatile for breakfast. Serve it with an egg and cheese omelet, and I'm satisfied. If I'm feeling a bit fancy, I add in whatever processed meat I have and pan fry until toasted. Since I try to limit my carb intake, I only eat it once a week. Someday, I'll be able to try the Steak Jjapaguri from the movie Parasite.

A giant plate of hot wings always brings me back to life. There is also this place I can’t make it to very often that has the best curry and rice. If you ever find yourself in San Francisco on holiday, look up a restaurant called Over the Bridge. The chef is also a super fun guy to talk to.

I have my own version of Karl's Beans on Toast w Sausage, my Mum would use canned spaghetti that was a little sweet and would also have melted cheese (melted in microwave or from heat of spaghetti) and pepper, she dubs it Sausage and Schetti, it's definitely my favourite comfort food and it's always nice when she makes it :)

Growing up my Ma would make something we called concoction . It would consist of two massive homemade biscuits with this creamy gravy poured over them with peas carrots and green beans . I would beg for this growing up I have no clue if it has a official name , but its not like sausage biscuits and gravy its different the sauce it lighter and more creamy than salty cause you would already get all the salt of the dish from the biscuits . Love the channel though you actually are really fun to watch and listen too . I also love just knowing random facts about things it makes me so happy to just go around and be like "hey did you know....

I live near Birmingham, so naturally we have some of the best Indian places. There is a place that does amazing buttered chicken. 2000 calories of glorious buttered chicken, rice, popadoms and naan bread. The Chinese order is similar to Karls. Chicken curry, large rice, chips and soft noodles (sometimes vegetable chow mein without baby corn).

I feel brad on the chips (crisps). My favorite brand is Cape cod, which I don't think you have in the UK. They're kettle cooked but have a much better texture/flavor than kettle brand and aren't nearly as greasy. Their flavors are fantastic, especially salt and vinegar and sweet and spicy jalapeño

Omg. I thought I was weird with crisps. The only flavour actual potato crisp I’ll eat is cheese and onion or just onion. The only flavours of corn type crisps I’ll eat (transformasnack , monster munch, Cheetos, wotsits [yes Americans they are 2 separate crisps taste and texture wise]) are beef or cheese, at the moment Aldi snack write cheese and onion just omg. Beat out walkers and Sainsbury’s and Tesco and Asda by a mile. However Sainsbury’s onion rings will always hold the top spot but followed closely by Aldi snack right
