I never expected to be reminded of The Great Muta getting Yingling pregnant and her giving birth to Akebono. Then there's Mae Young giving birth to a hand, which would come back and talk to her and Mark Henry on the 1,000th episode of Raw or something. Then Big Boss Man killing Al Snow's dog Pepper and feeding it to him. Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio having a ladder match for custody of Dominik Mysterio. I think one promotion had The Mummy, and tried to pass it off like a literal mummy. The manager took a pair of scissors and cut off The Mummy's finger and sand came out like he really was a 3,000 year old walking corpse. Then of course the Invisible Man vs Invisible Stan where the referee (Bryce Remsburg from AEW) had to wear special glasses so he could see the action and count the pin. The worst one to me was the Pink Slip match in TNA where it was literally pink slips in a random briefcase and it was legit. Like they really fired the guy who got the pink slip in the match. Then the Judy Bagwell on a Pole match. Oh, then there were the ideas that didn't make it, like the evil architect, Bill Ding. Chris Benoit being a martian with antennae coming out of his head. Wrestling is weird.

Karl and the gang really helped me during COVID when I was living as one of 200 students on a -30k student campus. It was an overly quiet 2 years where I didn't see as many people as I wanted, but you guys kept my empty 4 person apartment lively. It made me feel like I had some roommates when all of my friends were hundreds of miles away :)

Andre at one point needed surgery, but the doctor had no idea how much anesthesia to give him. Understand this is a is a very delicate balance and they needed to be precise. So in the hospital they gave him bottle after bottle of vodka to see how much it took to get him to pass out. It took over 20 full bottles.

This is how terrifying Haku is. Higher ups in WCW we're too afraid to fire him. Plus Haku was beating up someone that disrespected him in the locker room, everyone was afraid to stop it so they got Hulk Hogan to go up to him, and he basically just ask Haku to please stop. And Haku did out of respect he has for Hogan.

I think that someone was Hogan's buddy/ lackey Brutus Beefcake, wh had whined to the agents about Haku being too rough in the ring. Haku responded by lifting Beefcake up by the neck in the shower.

The only person Haku was afraid of was Jim Cornette. Haku drunkenly approached him, ready to yank his eye out. Jim pulled a gun on him and told him that if he got any closer, he was going to empty a gun full of hollow points into him.

I'm not a fan of wrestling such as WWE, myself. Additionally, sumo wrestling seems like more of an art to me even though there is about as much showmanship involved as there is in WWE, but with a clear cultural difference. Still, the idea of "WWE/wrestling is not real" makes me think of the comparative of going up to a stuntman for a film and saying "What you do is fake and not real." Performing wrestlers are still hardcore and real regardless if they are acting out a story for the audience.

To be more precise, it's not that Hogan wouldn't take the loss in that match. The match was always going to be Hogan win, but it supposed to be a series of 3 matches with they having a feud (which Hogan will eventually won 2 of out of 3 anyway), but Hogan just suddenly altered it into just a single match, which Michaels felt pointless.

I think when he went to Japan as a teen for the sumo trade between Tonga and Japan he suffered a bit of racial abuse, and he decided that the first person who messes with you has to get demolished to stop other people trying it on with you. Andre told Heenan the only two people he was afraid of were Tonga and Harley Race.
