Wow, that Lizardmen vs Dwarves battle was probably one of the greatest and craziest game i have seen in Total War Warhammer. Insane how close and tense that was.

I had a game like that against AI last night. Bretonnia VS Greenskins. By the end it was my lord and my Hero cycle charging the only two remaining enemy heroes in desperate attempts to out damage them. Luckily I managed with just my Lord left to get the remaining enemy in the back just enough to break him.

The really mindblowing thing about the Coast winning was that they beat all three elf factions (their traditional counter) to do it, WHILE committing the secular heresy of playing Vampire Coast as it was originally imagined (with a ton of firepower). Winning the final game with a unit I myself figured was even worse than bloated corpses was icing on the cake. Enticity earned this win! HAIL THE MIGHTY!

(quasi spoiler info) ... ... ... Anecdotally, I don't see many high-tier VCounts victories in tournament play. So watching Tank (one of the better VC players in the world) playing clutch fights at 1:33:20 & 2:47:00 (his win-streak end at 3:16:05) was a real thrill. Very cool.

Speaking of having a pet (pot bellied I think)pig I saw one video that had this lady whose baby pig was raised among her group of cats and it got used to living like a cat indoors and when it grew up didn’t want to go outside and be messy like a pig lol... it would apparently jump fences and stuff like a cat (that you’d never think a pig could jump). It would also make this purring like noise when petted lol.

The hand cannons will do more dps especially against larger targets than the hand cannons in good firing conditions but the massively reduced range means that handguns are just an easier to use version and the extra range more than makes up for a drop in damage imo.

Archers and cheap cav spam. Also, mortars are weak vs cavalry, even light cavalry. Horse archers can just shoot down their artillery crews, while foot archers kill their mobs. Lizardmen are a favorable opponent for the Coast, as they rely on head-on fight and big armored beasts, which the Coast can counter very well. Bringing the Saurian against Coast is suicidal. And lack in missiles that can screw the mobs. Meanwhile all three elf factions can counter their traditional gunline builds easily.

@@ggleplussuxx4787 Noc on Colossus wreck any cav and with invo you have to chew through 10+k hp while he can happily shoot forever with his gunnery wight. Deck Gunners wreck anything and are weak only to artillery and still, invo can resurrect them and are kinda cheap for what they do. All infantry have an obscene amount of HP and due to crumbling mechanic being utter crap they might as well have 70 leadership. So if you stagger your handguns and deck gunners just like here and sprinkle in a few halberds no cavalry or monster gonna come even close and as if you needed more you get near-infinite summons that can be anywhere anytime you need them to roadblock anything you ever wanted. Add some scurvy dogs and you're are golden. To top it off, Invocation is THE END ALL BE ALL solution that can save almost any slipup. Hell, even Felkon and Xiphos could not break it... Now tell me that Vcoast is not broken in the hands of a good player

In the last faction war a guy who played the coast got pretty far, but he did it all by anti-meta builds like double giant enemy crab. >Now tell me that Vcoast is not broken in the hands of a good player That's a stock phrase that can be said about at least half the factions in the game. Especially High Elves and Wood Elves. VCoast is by all means an easier and less skill intensive faction to play compared to them, with less potential. >Noc on Colossus wreck any cav Luthor is harder to deal in the hands of good player, so to no surprise good players prefer him in almost every matchup. He routed the skink priests in the last battle this time. Noctilus is at least predictable. He's good at killing expensive cavalry, cheap ones can just swallow it. >Deck Gunners No armor, no HP, they will get outshot by cheaper archers. Their DPS is far from what you suggest. Good vs blobs, bad vs spaghetti archers. >All infantry have an obscene amount of HP Zombies unit has an obscene amount of HP, almost 9k. It doesn't make them anything but a speedbump unit to drag others down while your damage dealers handle them. They're great for offense (blocking enemy ranged and dragging down disengaging mobile units), not defense, and VCounts are a rush army. VCounts have an excellent shock roster, like vargs and black/blood knights, that Zombie summons complement very well. Zombies will get easily killed by chaff, and deckhand mobs have stats which are hardly different. And bear in mind that all the mobs share the atrocious movement speed with the zombies. Handgun mobs have low DPS, low accuracy, medium range, require line of sight and will just get outshot by archers, again. They're the cheapest AP ranged unit for a reason. It doesn't help that infantry gets obscene amount of HP if has no armor, no shields and gets rekt by archers. 500 gold isn't the price that you can pay and trade with basic archers at a disadvantage, they're not cost effective at doing this. Compare them to quarellers for 550 gold who will easily win any ranged duel in their price tier. >near-infinite summons that can be anywhere anytime you need them to roadblock anything you ever wanted As if they could block arrows and spells and catch light cavalry. Counts can get zombie summons anywhere, because a pegasus can deliver them truly anywhere, and Counts are best equipped to dominate the air game, Coast has to rely on a shitty overpriced crab mount with 50 speed to even make their caster anywhere mobile.

hmm im not really sure why you were so confused why he brought hand cannons in that last fight. I mean just look at the stats...25 AP missile damage, anti large, 120 unit size...25 is not a big missile damage number but that's a ton of zombies all shooting for 25 each, that's no joke. Considering how he got wrecked by a dreadsaurian in the last fight, he was probably thinking "yeah bring that giant target in my back lines again, see what happens!"

@@highmarshalhelbrecht4715 Current GS require some of the tightest timing of any roster and pretty much have to take the offensive or get shot to pieces at range. There are other offensive rosters that can miss on the timing or have heals/summons to make up for some mistakes. GS do not get either of those options. If you get perfect timings with GS... they look great but that is really tough to pull off when 80% of the rosters are faster and more maneuverable than you.

Because chaos feels too uninvolved and generally less well-rounded than a lot of the other races in TWW2, and adding a unit or two with some non-magical CC could help mitigate that. Like, CA could add the Skullcrushers cav from the tabletop as a heavy cavalry, and add some kind of limited-duration root to their charge.. Or add some units from those weird Mongolian-inspired eastern chaos bois with bolas and nets. Or maybe something with tentacles. Total War's chaos roster is supremely lacking in tentacles compared to the tabletop and lore.
