Trust me reading those load of crap (not to mention forking out over $100 AUD for them) was worse. What really annoyed a lot of us was that we believed that the books would reflect the Storm of Chaos campaign which Order won and were expecting it to herald a new Warhammer Fantasy not the bastardised W40k Age of Sigmar that came out instead.

They could probably set the remaining books during the old world, given how old tamurkhan was and the idea that he chased a prophecy that may have already been fulfilled to his death is a neat idea in my opinion. Not that it will ever happen.

I'm genuinely saddened that I kinda missed all this as I was too young at the time. I love AoS, but the lore for fantasy was top-notch. Hope they take the old world too the next level and we get more books like Tamurkhan.

First off, I LOVE Lorebeards and don't think I would have ever learned so much about Warhammer Fantasy if not for you two. That said, I sincerely hope you two will give consideration to exploring ways of tightening the show up a little bit if at all possible. Of late, it feels like the main subject content has slipped a bit to the side or quickly rushed through in places compared to the side conversations and multiple lengthy pauses to catch up on chats. I feel that if maybe the non-joke chats were more often tied in to the weeks content it would be much better, but it does not feel that way to me the last few months. Thank you for everything you two do, and much love as always.

I wish the khorne brother leaned more into the priest, miracle side of khorne. I know khorne hates magic, but I know that magic is separate to faith, so I wish there was a cool khorne priest character

Khorne doesn't really have priests because the best way to appease the Blood God is not through faith or praying but by spilling more blood through combat. So the best 'priest' of Khorne is the one who is best at combat, so not actually a priest but a warrior

​@@ZoMbi5lAy3r there are actually, in at least 2 black library books there appears a character that is a Bloodfather. He is essentially a holy man for Khorne that is mostly a warrior, but also guards and tends to holy sites of Khorne.

@@ZoMbi5lAy3r Khorne does have priests, but the best way isn't by spilling blood through combat. It's spilling blood period, remember - Khorne does not care from whence the blood flows, only that it flows. Andy made an excellent point in an older lore stream that something as simple as a barber surgeon _could_ be an excellent cover for a Khornate cultist because each cut on a patient leads to bleeding that praises Khorne.

I don't really like the idea of Khorne having priests, in the sense of guys using miracles in battle like the priest of Sigmar. Godly miracles are magic too, but the god allows the priest to use it instead of the guy being a mage (aka having an hability to manipulate the aethir by himself), so khorne granting miracles to someone is totally out of character for him.

Sotek you got things a bit wrong about the mountains of mourn part, Tamurkhan was happy to fight the ogres and Greasus, but the pass through his kingdom was blocked by a wall of rocks and so they had to go further south for another pass to the west.

You know I discovered one shouldn't assume CA is going to follow any lore when it comes to creating victory conditions. I started a Tamurkhan campaign assuming that it would have one of the victoiy conditions being reaching Nuln. So I marched west (after having to deal with a VERY boisterous Tsar Boris), and appreciated Tamurkhan's dilemma half way across the Darklands as to which way to go. I ended up going via the Silver Pinnacle pass then got distracted sacking cities in Southern Kislev, Ostermark before heading through Talebecland, detour north to link up with Festus before finally heading south wet to Nuln. AND then discovered that the victory conditions required me to destroy three factions all the way back where I had started! So don't do what I did and read what your short campaign conditions are before you set out. Thanks for the stream guys and you made me appreciate the problems Tamurkhan had when he went on his journey. I intentionally didn't look at a map and I can now appreciate Tamurkhan's dilema (also I needed to sack a city every turn to pay for my armies upkeep as I was 1000+ in debt per turn.

A variety of thoughts I had during the video I was really surprised reading the story how much of it focused on just the Chaos side and how long it took to reach the Empire. It is really about Tamurkhan's and his followers journey with the Empire just happening to be the final boss. I also felt that characters like Elspeth, Drazhoath, and Sayl were going to be reoccurring characters due to how they were written and the story lines that were hinted at. The fact that Cathay was part of the story especially since it was said that Sayl would return does make me wonder if Forgeworld were considering creating a Cathayan armylist if the series had continued. However characters like Kayzk were so overshadowed that the likes of Olghust Vipergut who is just a background chaos lord feel more relevant to the story. Regarding the assassination attempt I honestly thought it was Elspeth with it supposed to be foreshadowing to how she would eventually slay Tamurkhan and it is worth noting that due to the assassin's body destroying itself Tamurkhan knew that whoever sent it knew about his true form and bodysnatching skills. I did end up feeling sorry for Tamurkhan in the end due to how much crap he went through such as loosing 2/3rds of the Zanbijin army before reaching the Empire. Quickly regarding Vostrogath I do think that while he is a neat character he doesn't feel as interesting as Tamurkhan both because he doesn't have his story told but also because he leans into a lot of standard Khorne tropes while Tamurkhan stood out from his at the time contemporaries. Does make me want to try creating my own version though. I do wonder how many of the ideas created for the Throne Books were instead used in ET and AoS especially the Khorne stuff.

Before I watch the Video, GW abandoning the Whole Throne of Chaos Series and leaving it ad just a Nurgle book is one of biggest Hobby Grudges - This Fantasy versions of essentially Imperial Armour was a new and abandoned era of Warhammer.

came up with 2 of tamurkhan's siblings if we designed them Ka'uthah, daughter of the changer, the witch of the under wave, a horrific Mutant with aspects of a ray and mullsk her children are her spys as she can see and speak through her offspring she slowly built her forces slowly under ulthuan slowly influencing merchants and sailors to decented into the depths to join her army of Creatures mutated by her magics and Bolw'gar the red glaser that walks this child of korne resembles a mammoth more than a man roming the grate mountains in the southlands away from the petty ways of his kin he hunts the creatures of the jungle claiming there skulls for his God tearing heads off using his toothed trunk placing them into a basket he carries upon his back cults following his carnage feeding upon the rivers of blood that flow from he's foot prints rough drafts of course

wrote the last kid Sacore the web weveer, the mantis of the east a warrior from the east that few know the true origins of the 4th of the tamurkhan siblings covered in a thick layer of chitin the 4 armed 6 eyed warrior trained in the far east from nimpon to Cathay rading the lands of weapons and new techniques to master in there attempt to perfect all forms of killing, of note is his infamous duel with Yuan Bo in which the jade dragon cut out one of his eyes now planing for revenge Sacore now seeks a weapon that can Mach Dragon's fang in the depths of lustrea
