Hovering over the logistic request in the space platform menu will tell you why its red IE if there is not enough for a full rocket in the network.

36:00 You can set custom minimum thresholds so you don't need a full rocket's worth. You set it when creating the logistic request (same window where you pick which planet to pick it up from, etc.)

hot take but automatic requests only launching full rocket loads isa great feature because there are many situations where you want extra items on reserve - e.g. when the platform is damaged which happens a lot. Also if you're building ghosts on the platform, it would become absurd if you only get rocket launches for every part you build.

@@unknownPLfan I generally agree but it would be nice if it would just dynamically request. Like it you needed a couple spliters and undergrounds, like 10 platform foundations and some inserters, it will fill one rocket with all that and send it up. Rather than send 4 different rockets with a full stack of each.

I like putting 1 power pole on the platform to click and check power (1 mouse click) instead of having to click to open the hub, then click the open electrical display button. (2 mouse clicks) Yeah its just an extra click, but muscle memory always makes me look for a pole to click on to check power.

22:05 you can select something and press E again. Or double left click. Or green check. 33:25 it shows various recipes just slightly down under your courser.

If you are in the building phase and want to send up stuff manually and not waste rocket space but not have a full rocket full of stuff, fill the remaining space with space platform tiles as you likely need them anyway

Why did my rocket silo need all science pack up to cream to unlock, not just red green and blue....? I must have an orbital platform because I'm getting white science packs send back down but it's not in my build menu....

You can make a request for item and override rocket size. You can request less than rocket size, but you waste space that way. I have a weird "bug". When manually putting stuff in rocket, and launch, soon as the item arrives it's sent back to a planet! Also, if I request an item, and delete that request while above planet, item is sent back to a planet. User error or a bug?

Your landing hub might be requesting said item. If you can't remove that request, instead set the platform to request that item with "0 to inf" from said planet and it won't shoot it down automatically.
