Learn how to Factorise Quadratics. In this video we are putting expression back into double brackets. This is the opposite of using FOIL to expand.
Key Concepts:
* Quadratic Expressions: We'll explore quadratic expressions, containing a squared term (x²).
* FOIL and Its Opposite: Recap on FOIL (Multiply the Firsts, Outsides, Insides, then Lasts) to expand expressions.
* Find Factors of 'c' that add to make 'b'! Use this simple technique to find what goes back in the brackets.
By the End of This Video, You'll Be Able To:
*Recognise the structure of quadratic expressions based on the presence of a squared term.
* Understand how factorising is the opposite process of expanding.
* Apply strategies to identify patterns within quadratic expressions, allowing you to factor them into double brackets effectively.
