FACTORY BIKE CHECK! My Beta 300 2 Stroke by Brad Freeman

I have owned several Betas. Love them a lot but its critical to check all the fasteners for tightness. Also check the battery terminals and drive chain. All my chains came from the factory too tight. Also change the coolant out for the green or yellow stuff. The blue stuff has a tendency to leak through head gasket o rings and thermostat o rings.

They're just to stop any damage from the fork protectors! No worries dude glad you liked it 👍🏻

In one of his other videos he mentioned how he uses a bit of silicone around the clip on the front sprocket to help keep the dirt out 👍🏼

hi Brad, thank you for this insightful and thorough presentation of the bike! It looks sweeeeeet and I'm sure it's a beast on the track. I noticed all the careful small details when it comes to all the zip tied cables around the engine. What is it with the radiator hose coming from the water pump? Does it have a double sleeve? For added protection from the exhaust header?

Yes that's just an extra piece of tube...to protect it from heat and other damage 🤙🏼

Awesome bike, amb great mods, some big changes, like twin spark top end, better response?, needed for different top end design?? Also the kick starter, i guess is better to add 2Kg on the bike than have a battery fail in the middle of a race day. Waiting for the new season start, You´ll literally fly with the rr300, thnks so much for the video and all the info :-)

Yes we do that just for a better response on the throttle...but takes a lot of work to make!

Hey Brad, what are the zip ties on the wheel spokes for?

We use them so if a spoke comes loose, you won't lose it! And then have the chance to tighten it up again later on...

Hey mate, what’s the little bit of material between the rear pad and the piston? I’ve boiled the rear on mine a couple of times and kinda thinking it’s because there’s no insulator plate between the pad & piston like other bikes I’ve had.

So on this bike I'm using standard Brake Pads with nothing between the pads and piston...but if you're struggling with that you can use an aluminium plate to help with the heat, from a ktm brake pad or yamaha!

Hi brad! Thanks for the video! I have std 300 and I have same questions..which front and rear springs do you use?and sag?I have 4.7 in front ,5.4 rear and I am comfortable with 4cm of static sag and 11 with me! Bye and fulll gasss

Hi man glad you liked it! So the springs depend completely on your weight...but for the sag on the rear I normally use between 3.6 and 4 depending on the track! Hope this helped...

Yes we still have electric start! But from cold I start the engine with the kickstart!
