I'm intrigued by this Henry Greenly theory. I can imagine a scenario where Greenly says to Gresley, "could you give me your opinion on these?". Gresley then takes the plans to his office to go over them, over a couple of days. Then the break-in happens.

This is what makes Thomas and friends special as said details help make the stories as realistic as Awdry wanted, unlike how that AEG Dumpster fire reboot ditches any logic whats so ever.

On topic of the headcode fact , the lamp being on the engine's left bracket was also the pre-grouping headcode for " light engine ". And since you could say S1 took place in the pre-grouping years ( like early 1920's ) this is coincidentally a little accurate. But not always.

I think the 'SKR' abbreviation is to differentiate it from the Southern Railway (SR).

Thank you so much for making this video it’s always confuse me how Henry was able to take two trains forward when his regulator was on.

Fantastic video, really gave me insight into some of the more technical goings on that happened in the books+show. Where can I find those videos of Luke talking about the ballast, how the reverser and regulator work, and why Henry was such a bad steamer?

@@ScrapyardStudios Actually, where did you read the part about Henry Greenly drawing the plans that were stolen to build Henry? A lot of it doesn't add up. The thieves upscaled everything but his firebox? Rex and River Esx were built in 1923, did Henry Greenly somehow get the plans back after Henry was sold to Sodor? Am I just being an immature non-Railway Series Purist?
@ScrapyardStudios2 жыл бұрын
I’d recommend watching the original stream for it, but the way it works is that they were of course in a rush when stealing the drawings & wouldn’t have realised that they weren’t Gresley’s. They took them thinking they were for standard gauge &, again being in a rush, wouldn’t have thought otherwise

But could someone explain this to me? Can the engines drive themselves in the rws? Because Henry stopped in the tunnel and Gordon drove into a ditch, but Thomas crashed into the stationmasters house because Thomas couldn’t stop
@ScrapyardStudios2 жыл бұрын
The way it works is that the driver opens the regulator & the engine either does or doesn’t respond. So it’s really the best of both worlds
