Frank Tovey, rest in peace. You were one of a kind.

Frank (aka Fad Gadget) was so istrumental in starting the synth-pop movement with him and Dan Miller discovering depeche mode in the early days of 81 as an opening act for Fad @ the Bridgehouse..

Surprising that Frank had the looks to go along with his talent. How he missed out on the MTV halcyon days is a real mystery. Frank would not have enjoyed it, but he would have truly blown up.

Grandissimi!!!

I've seen plenty of acts in my life. I grew up in that time how the hell did I miss him? Glad I could see him perform here because I absolutely just started to hear of him through my love for this genre.

The part where he's like "diamonds and pearls" cracks me up for some reason. He's giving the flip side on what glamour really is (pretty vacuous).

@destructorbeam: I'm not sure I understand... but, in a way, it's best that Frank's music remains unique. I wouldn't want some rapper to "mutilate" or commercialize a Fad Gadget song, like it's been done with a few other, 80's classics.

WHy do you list this as Fad Gadget? Even the introduction of the video addresses it as being Frank Tovey.
