Is you did not break the blade, i think you should sharpen the blades, if you don't have sharpening tools just send to a nearby cutsware repair shop

Can a brushless motor go in a Oster octane and andis slimline?

Any change on slimline is a bad idea because the lifespan will get decreased dramatically. About octane it has a high-quality silent rotary motor with acceptable rpm. I don't think you can find a brushless motor that you can fit in them in the market...
