Ok, here is a question for those unclear about tariffs - If you get rid of income tax and replace it with tariffs, how will that money get to the infrastructure that needs it? Taxes go to the government, while tariffs go to the companies. Traditionally government doles out the monies to various infrastructures to fund them. So if the government has no monies from income tax to dole out, where does the money to maintain roads come from?
