The 235-meter (771-foot) Burj Daman is a glass-and-steel mixed-use building that comprises residential, hotel, and office use at the southern end of the DIFC parcel. Similar to Central Park Towers, while it does fall under the administration of DIFC, it was isolated from the main buildings of DIFC in that it was not connected to the Gate Avenue or any of the other structures; to get there on foot one thus needed to cross the street from next to Al Fattan Currency House. While appearing as a single building, it actually consisted of two interlocking structures: a 19-floor shorter but much wider block that primarily consisted of office space, with ancillary facilities for the hotel on the top two floors, and a slender 59-floor block that partially rested above the office block on floors 26 and above. The taller block consisted of two parts, with the part rising from the ground floor housing 230 residential apartments (inclusive of triplex penthouses), and the part resting above the office block having 247 hotel rooms on floors 27 to 50 and 28 hotel-branded serviced apartments (also inclusive of triplex penthouses) on floors 51 and above. The blocks were interconnected horizontally on the ground and first floors, which had entrance lobbies to the building's different sections as well as shops and restaurants, and vertically via the hotel sky lobby on the 18th and top floor of the shorter block. Between the ground and first floors of the residential block were two floors of split-level parking; because of this the first floor was labeled as "P5" in some of the elevators, in the sense that the ground floor was "P2 (parking floor 2)" and the intermediate parking floors were "P3" and "P4." Additional parking was on the first basement, while the second basement had the hotel's back-of-house areas, loading bays, and mechanical rooms.
There were 14 elevators serving the office portion of the building, consisting of 14 passenger and 2 service units. Due the wide floorplates of the shorter office block, it had two separate cores at the northern and southern ends, with each core having one service and six passenger elevators for the offices. Among those, this video features the bank of six passenger elevators at the southern office core. They were of Otis' Skyrise installations, with Dewhurst US90-15 buttons and an uncommon variant of LCD floor indicators, both within the cars and above the ground-floor landing doors. (Other floors had square-shaped hall lanterns, judging from the building's pictures found on the Internet.) They featured faux wooden floors and walls of coated glass mirrors and mahogany wood, and Art Deco-style geometrical patterns on the rear wall. They provided access to offices on the southern wing of floors 2 and 4-16, as well as the basement parking and retail on the first floor. Unfortunately, they could not be ridden without a pass as all floors except for the ground floor - even the parking and retail floors - were restricted.
