Check out what happened to my bushings. Has this happened to anyone else? Could this be the heat? #skateboarding #learntoskate #oldskater

One time my bearing on my right wheel broke. It killed my session dead in it's track. Looking back it was a good thing because now i only ride reds. Keep it up bro.

@@Skate_Membrane Thanks 🙏🏼 I keep some spare parts in my bag but those bushings are going in the trash.

Hi bro, some solid shuvs seen there! 👊🏻 I find if I focus on a scoop more than trying to pop I have more success with shuvs and it still gets lift. Your shuv makes seemed to follow the same pattern. The bushing thing is a bit strange and recon it can only be a heat thing, in all the years I’ve skated on and off (mostly off) I’ve never swapped out bushings and not had an issue but then UK summers aren’t really that hot 🤣 I’m 190 pounds on a full meal and don’t skate much impact stuff apart from small step sets but like I say I’ve never slipped a bushing 🤔 I can’t skate more than twice a week as I feel broken for a few days after.. Rad edit dude ✌🏻

@@simonvidetta1976 Thankson the edit, and thanks for the advice too. I dont know aboyt the bushings(dime bag) never had that happen either but the stock ones are holding up, might give bones hard bushings a try. 🙏🏼❤️🛹

Sorry about the session, dude. I’d be bummed if I made time to skate and had equipment issues

@@RedBoard86 Hey its ok. I actually changed them to stock indys and skated a lot more. It was an hour long session, I just cut a lot out. 🙏🏼❤️🛹

Keep going bro. I’m stealing something from you though… to just push switch sometimes when you want to skate (and progress) but are too damn tired.

How do you like the flight deck? I’ve never ridden one. Probably should get one at some point. 😆
@ChongcoSk8827 күн бұрын
@@StevesSkateXplosion I love it. No issues. In fact It still has a lot of life but I I just got a replacement deck, the same exact one. The angles on the tail and nose seem a little flat but I don't think I've had any problems because of it. I'd like to try a VX sometime too and that Alien 8.75 looks sweet. I almost went down to an 8.75 but Im comfortable learning on my 9 for now. 🙏🏼❤️🛹

stocky indy bushings are too soft. I would get the blue ones or some bones medium bushins instead. The soft ones at our size (i'm similar to you) will squish out and get cut. It also will make it really unstable for you to learn on.

I try and cruise my board every day and usually hit a few ollies, but I don't really session every day more like every other day and right now that's only if the weather allows it, I don't know about where you are at but here it's been between 99 - 113 heat dome they call it. I have only skated in my garage lately and it's been too hot in there as well so like 15-minute sessions. I know I feel like skating all the time to a balance board helps with that, if I can't get outside than I jump on that while watching TV for about 30 minutes or so I can get into nose stall position and tail stall position anyway if I am not skating, I am on that stupid thing. Sometimes we just need to take a break, nothing wrong with that!
@RedBoard8629 күн бұрын
113 here too. I wait until the evenings after sundown. Last night’s session was still 107, but the only time I have to practice

@@VintageSk8 Thanks. Yeah I love just cruising too. Helps you get to know your board and be more comfortable to. Its been in the 90's (f) here in Georgia, plus the humidity is awful. 🙏🏼❤️🛹
