3:25 - years ago one of my friends had a car rolling backwards like that. He tried the same maneuver to stop it. The car won, and he spent 1 year getting his knee fixed. The damage was bad. It is NOT worth it, let the car crash.

I can kind of relate, back in the mid 80's, I was stationed at Clark AB Philippines. The car I had was a manual and when I got home I did what I always did and put it in 1st gear. Well low and behold, it didn't go completely in 1st. I walk inside and a few mins later, the neighbor walks over and ask where my wife went. Well my wife was there with me at the house. The neighbor said the car went down the road. Well shit, I walked outside and the car had rolled down the street, through a stop sign and into a ditch (luckily it was a shallow ditch). From that day, the parking brake was always used.

@@phurnandez1747 I have driven many manual transmissions in my life, not one of them have ever just rolled away, that's why I didn't set the parking brake. It was however used every time after that incident.

@@Blueknight1960 you do realise it called a 'parking brake' for a reason? This is why americans are viewed as pathetically stupid. You have a brake that designed specifically to be used when parking yet are surprised when the car rolls away because you didnt use the brake for its intended purpose

3:30 happened near me. The mini roundabout was infamous for being chaos. (It’s like people forgot how to drive whenever they approached it 🤦🏻‍♂️) They’ve since removed the roundabout because of this and funnily enough the terrible drivers have all disappeared haha

Yeah, I can imagine that could be missed being a roundabout. Sure, the cyclist was at fault, but how do you not see him from the car. Also at night (when no other traffc is expected/seen) I bet everyone just uses it as a simple intersection. so yeah that's a bad design

@@OersJ Nah, the bike was on the roundabout well before the silver car and was clearly following the red one. Silver should have given way as they were coming from silver's right, even if they were being slightly cheeky by running over the centre of the roundabout.
